    If anyone was wondering You don't have to take off the transmission mounts. But i also replaced my stock air intake awhile back so most of the plastic was gone for me. I highly recommend swapping the air box. If you are gonna do this fix make a drawing of where each bolt goes on cardboard or something. Great video for what you're working with mate!

    I was doing an install on a transmission mount insert, look down and saw a bunch of fluid had leaked onto the splash tray. The existing insert, I found, was cracked, so it’s good I had got a new one. But as far as the leak, I figured this was probably the issue, considering it was right below this

    • @waresgarage8590

      Yea if there’s fluid down there on the shift selector it’s for sure the seal, it’s easy to replace if you need help on it just watch my video, I show step by step on how to do it

    Hello mate, thanks for the information, really appreciate it but I have two questions please:
    1- Why you needed to change the bearing, I thought the oil leak is only caused by the oil seal?
    2- Do we need to remove the gearbox mount or can we just pull the shaft out without removing the mount?
    Cheers

    • @waresgarage8590
      @waresgarage8590  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      there's some bolts that you have to take out...you take the battery tray mount out to get to the bolts...i mean you probably can do it with out taking it out but its more easier when you take it out can see everything you need to take out and have more room

    • @MrJeffclaridge

    • @jesusmedina7203
      @jesusmedina7203 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Mine is making a squealing noise when the clutch is disengaged, as soon as I push the clutch in it goes away. I though for a moment it would be the TOB but I don't think this is the case. I just had an ACT streetline clutch put in about 10 months ago and I'd hate to open it back up just for that if that's what it was.

    • @waresgarage8590
      @waresgarage8590  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jesus Medina is the TOB new too? Because it could be that I use to have A 2004 srt4 and it was making that sound too and I replace the TOB and fixed the problem but it’s something with your clutch if it goes away when you press it down

    • @jesusmedina7203
      @jesusmedina7203 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      TOB was the one that came with the ACT clutch kit, I read on the forums something about it being a shaft transmission bearing. Haven't felt any problems with it, just that it makes that whining sound. May just end up taking it to my mechanic. Just trying to so a little research to have an idea of what it is

  • @emtae3

    Clutch pedal sticks to the floor sometimes and found out the boot was torn and leaking fluid. Would this be related to the clutch sticking or is it something else?

    • @waresgarage8590
      @waresgarage8590  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Glenn Gapor no..it’s something with your masters cylinder or your slave cylinder...check those to see if it’s leaking fluid might have to replace one of them

      @@waresgarage8590 another question..I bought the whole assembly instead of buying just the bearing and still waiting for it to come in. I just noticed that the existing boot is cracked and not sure if the new one will come with a new boot. I also couldn't find the boot listed as a part itself. Will it still leak fluid with a new bearing seal but a cracked boot?
