Without the girl singing a verse it sounds like a song about getting over an emotionally abusive narcissistic relationship after a discard. The original tells us two sides of a story.
Every breakup story has two sides, tho... Well, three? Yours, mine and "everything the actual disordered person can at least partially prove is wrong with you".
It's not haunting. It's a treasure. To know that enough of his voice was there to capture the essence in a close enough manner and hear something that would likely never had happened. Through all their previous works, they, as a band, still exist and will exist as long as talented and dedicated people will find ways to keep them alive I think Chester alone would really appreciate that.
@@TheRandomYoYo no sorry haunting would be the right word for this. you gotta remember that outside of the band, all the members were genuinely friends, and these soulless AI covers are not only an infringement of copyright. its also not at all a part of the band's legacy. in order to keep someone's legacy alive, you honor the things they created and the memories you made with them, AI covers do neither of these things, the band neither created these covers, nor did anyone actually put in the effort to create this, its all just stable-diffusion machine learning algorithms. A better way of doing something like this is to create something original, inspired by Linkin Park, like so many of the fan recreations of the demos that appeared on METEROA|20.
@@educationalthoughts6152 You're 24 and you can't even spell advocating, why would anyone trust your knowledge on copyright law, speaking of which, this actually isn't copyright infringement, as it's transformative and not meant to be a substitute for the original.
As a milenial and LP fan. I AM MAD on how much I like the A.I. Version of this song. Chester Bennington was such a talented artist. Linkin park 4ever!!!
This almost brings a tear to my eye, with how much I miss Chester and that this song represents a part of my life I don't want to go back to for me, but this... It's almost like hearing Chester again, thank you so much for this
I'm a record producer with over 30 years of experience (especially in cover recording) Besides, I have a background in IT (fuzzy logic programming and machine learning) and I can tell ya: this is NOT just some off-the-shelf- one-button-magic A.I. generated fluff! It's a wizard level artistry with a deep knowledge, skill and talent to use the tools (A.I. included) the proper way - how (A.I. being just another musical instrument) equipment is supposed to be used!
I spent hours, probably more like days, after high school scouring every inch of SoundCloud and TH-cam looking for Linkin Park Remixes or covers. LP is all I listened too. This remix is probably the first song I've listened to in over a decade that sparked that almost child-like fascination when somebody you respect so much gives you something you didn't know you wanted. Thank you for this.
I think that's the nostalgia speaking. This was a terrible rendition as it lacked heart and soul. They should do this was a living artist to hear the difference between technically perfect vs the imperfections that makes the song painful and sad, but real. You can't get that with this AI.
I’m typically an AI hater, but man, this gave me goosebumps! This is totally how Gotye’s classic would sound if Linkin Park recorded a version, outside of Chester sounding like he’s using autotune.
This is not fair, man. I am so incredibly upset and and at the same time crying tears of joy to hear Chester sing something new. Went through some HARD times in high school, listened to so much Linkin Park, I feel like they helped me through the experience. Even if it is bittersweet, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for this. This is good.
Really impressive stuff here. I imagine you had to create an entirely new arragement (guitar, bass, drums, vocals, etc) and record new vocals that were then run through the voice models for Chester and Shinoda. A way higher level of effort than any other AI cover I've seen. I feel this deserves high praise for being much more work than a standard AI cover. Like it's a love letter to the band. I look forward to seeing what you decide to tackle next! 🤘
fire song, but is so fucking sad not knowing what chester would think of this, maybe he would hate it, not the song but the fact that a machine is replacing him in some ways making him every day more useless/replaceable or maybe he would like the fact that people is making art with his voice.
While i understand why people have some issues with this, i can say this is one of the best thing i've heard since the whole AI stuff started. I can understand that people think the voice is a bit robotic, but then again, if this wasn't labeled as AI, people would have freaked out of how good an official Linkin Park cover of the song, would be. That being said, congrats on making this, for me it's been on replay for 3 days.
Man, this probably one of the best made AI cover that I ever heard, it really feels like Linkin Park, the voices, the music, everything. Its incredible and scary what the people can do with an AI.
I dunno, I'm really torn on how I feel about these covers lol on one hand, they're incredibly well made and really fits LP's classic style well, but on the other I do find it a bit dystopian that we can just "resurrect" people without their consent 😅 It was sketchy when they did it with Tupac and MJ, it's still kinda sketchy now imo
This is so well made, I love it! It's great seeing people like you put the effort in for the instrumental parts as well as backup vocals similar to how that one creator made those Frank Sinatra covers.
¡It's incredible how Gotye's video shapes totally fit the Meteora era! Amazing version, you totally nailed the HT and Meteora arrangement and mix! I would love to see Mike Shinoda react to it.
Man, this is one of the most incredible thing I've ever seen in my entire life. As a truly fan of Linkin Park I'm totally impressed by this result, it gave me goosebumps listening to this. You did a very wonderfull work here. You have my deepest and most sincere thank you!
I think I've listened to this so many times that I've managed to actually trick myself into sometimes thinking this was an actual Linkin Park original.
I'm genuinely blown away just because this mixes two chunks of nostalgia: My love for early Linkin Park as a kid, and listening to somebody I used to know when it came out on the radio. I was riding home to my dad's trailer in bum fuck nowhere Missouri with my grandmothers.
It feels like it has always been sung by Chester. That's so weird to listen to this song and it feels like the actual song, that you know by heart and that you could sing Linkin Park's style, without even remembering they never played it. And I won't lie, it hurts me real deeply.
It can't be overstated how impressive this is. This was clearly the result of a lot of time and effort and creative direction rather than just putting an AI voice filter overtop of another song. Not that that's bad, but it's not art in the same way this is. This feels like it was created by a person with the help of AI, not created by AI with the help of a person, so I hope that if AI music is here to stay, this is how people use it. Thank you for helping keep Chester alive in our hearts❤
The crazy part about this is that we will probably be able to create our own individual tracks just by AI prompting someday. You will be able to hear whatever pops into your head. You can make an artist "live" for eternity.
I've listened to this 15 times already today. So insanely on point. Even despite the autotuneiness in the vocals sometimes, it "feels" correct. It's like 99% on its way to sounding like it could have been a Meteora deep cut. Thank you for sharing this, I look forward to your future projects!
You really nailed it. That's exactly how LP would have done this back in 00's HT/Meteora. I can hear that you used some strings (reminds of Faint), and the beat and groove reminds me of Runaway. What a masterpiece my friend! I won't lie, I was waiting some scream haha but anyway this is AWESOME!! Great job on this, dude!

It’s gotta be haunting for the surviving members of LP to hear their late friend’s voice in a song they’ve never heard him sing before
I was just thinking that
It's not haunting.

It can't be overstated how impressive this is. This was clearly the result of a lot of time and effort and creative direction rather than just putting an AI voice filter overtop of another song.
