Thanks, remember to used the tire pressures on the car inside the driver side door, not the pressure on the tire. Those are the max allowable, not the vehicle recommended.
My golf 6 gti has neither the button in the glove box nor anywhere else in the car, it’s not even in the on-board computer. Does anyone know how to do it?
Some VWs, you have to use the MFI buttons on the steering wheel. You have to go to settings. then tire pressure and then store. In later Golfs you reset it through the menu in the center console touch display.
When you fist turn the car on, if the light flashes then after a few seconds becomes solid. That could mean one of your TPMS sensors may be bad. If it is solid on the car start, make sure all your tire are properly inflated. Which I’m sure you’ve done, just recheck it. If the light doesn’t go out after driving for a short bit… you’ll have to take it to a shop.
@@masonwagner4118 That's a tough one. I believe that the MK Vs had a reset in the MMI/ Multi-Function interface, You may have to take a closer look at the owners manual.
You should start with the owners manual and see where they placed the reset button in your model. It’s sometimes located in the center console even in the MMI menu.
Try the Settings consol between revs counter and gauge..scroll down in settings until you get to Tyre Pressure. ..if you have checked tyres and confirmed they are right pressure select "Store". That will remove warning light.
Idk why my '11 GTI tire pressure sensor pops up once in a while, but my pressure is still ok, no punctures either, not sure why it does that. I'll just reset the light every time it shows up.
Could be a bad TPMS in 1 or more of the wheels. The batteries in them go bad after a while making it unreadable to the system which sends out a warning hence the light on the dash. You should be able to check it with a TPMS scanner without removing the wheels or tires. Autel makes a good one.
You may have more serious issues. Get a TPMS scanner or ask a mechanic to scan the wheels to make sure you have sensors installed or if they need to be replaced. They do go bad after a while
Simple and to the point. With bonus jams.
I’m not trying to eek out a living resetting tire pressure warnings, lol. Just trying to help folks out.

the oil light shouldn't come on when you turn the key?
It will as the car is starting. But should turn off once the car is running.
