Now I really want to read the book this meeting takes place would love to hear what everything in that meeting thinks of such a historic event taking place in such a poorly maintained ship.

I already got the Thrawn trilogy, The Bane trilogy, the OG and prequel novelizations, Tarkin and Sidious novels. Someone recommended Legacy of the Force series and I just ordered them via amazon. Cannot wait! BTW, any chance you can recommend some other EU novel series for me?
Maybe try the x-wing series about rogue squadron, I have been told they are good. (I'm new to eu books as well though so someone else might have better ideas.)
Tarkin is a New Canon novel, u know that, right? Anyway, to give you a bigger picture of possibilities: If by "Sidious" u mean Darth Plagueis than it's absolutely amazing and I recommend it, tells you a lot about Palpatine's early road ro become the most powerfull Sith ever and of course properly introduces and well, concludes the well known fate of his master. I'd encourage you to read novels more expanding on and connected to the movie saga. To start, Revenge of The Sith Legends tie-in novels, that is Labiranth of Evil (prequel) and Dark Lord: The Rise Of Darth Vader (sequel). Before that you could check out "The Outbound Flight" by Timothy Zahn, great if you want something before the Clone War that's connected to the Thrawn Trilogy. If you like Star Wars Politics, "Cloak of Deception" by Luceno is a great book about Palpatines early machinations in the senate before Episode 1. Also, to learn more about the dark times, "The Rise and Fall of Darth Vader", "The Life and Legend of Obi Wan Kenobi", "Kenobi" and "The Force Unleashed" are must read movie tie-in novels in my opinion (tfu shows you the birth of Rebel Allience and the start of GCW). For something set During the OT, "Splinter Of The Mind's Eye", the forst EU novel ever shows you how Luke and Leia encountered Darth Vadwr for the first time, while "Shadows of the Empire" gives you some clues about what was everybody doing just before ROTJ. As for books set between Endor and Thrawn's resurgence, about how the Empire started to collapse after Endor, of course there are respectively "Luke Skywalker And The Shadows Of Mindor" and more impirtantly, X-wings books (dhow hoe NR finally takes Coruscant, though will beiefly loose it a few years later, doesn't matter though, Coruscant is theirs after X-wings). Thrawn Duology by Timothy Zahn is important if you want to know how the galactic civil wat finally ended via a prace treaty berween the Imperial Remnant and the New Republic. Earlier interesting books set during the late periods of the war are Jedi Academy novels about early years of Luke Skywalker's Jedi Order and their struggles. It contains some weird shit however, like the suncrusher, an Imperial Remnant's superweapon not much bigger than a tie fighter that destroyes F-ING STARS! Absolutely idiotic XD. To go further beyond the movies, don't start with "Legacy Of The Force" if you don't have to, really!! It's better to check out "Young Jedi Knights" first, so the golden period for the New Republic and more about how Luke trained Solo childeren. Or skip that and move to "The New Jedi Order". It's about an extra galactic invasion, thr first big threat after the Empiee and a test for Luke's Jedi order. Though only if you are a devoded reader, this is 19 book long! "Legacy Of The Force" as it is the continuation of those series'. If you want a little bit more of how Jacen Solo turned to the Dark Side, there is thr "Dark Nest" trilogy, a short series set between NJO and LOTF, about a relatively small conflict with some insect species, however it pulls a bit more from the Prequels, which is very nice, it's then when Luke and Leia learn of Mustafar and that Padme Amidala was their mother after watching some recordings made during Episode 3. After LOTF would be the "Fate Of The Jedi" series, a little bit weird for me, I didn't like it as it reveals some unnecessary storylines like a lost tribe of Sith and a deamon Abeloth (way too powerfull for SW). It ties in to the episodes of TCW when Anakin kills the Ones (actually remember that s7 of TCW is not happening in Legends if you like this show), so if you like more ethereal fantasy vibes and also want to see Grand Mastee Luke at his prime then this might be sth for you. You could of course go back to the Old Republic Era, read some stuff about Revan or Malgus though I don't know much about Pre-Bane eras. Dawn Of The Jedi is actually quite interesting, set 20000 years into the past when the Republic and Jedi were forming. So here you go, that's pretty much everything else that's interesting from the novels. In my opinion read the movie tie-in novels first as they are the best and expand the Lucas Lore which of course is the foundatin for the entire SW timeline. Guide books are quite interesting as well, "Jedi vs Sith: The essential guide to the Force" tells you a lot about force users, Sith and Jedi and stuff like that, while "The essential Guide to Warfere" tells you about well...warfere in Star Wars. But the comic books are equally important, some are actually more important than the novels. "Dark Empire" is about Palpatine returning in clone body a year after Thrawn, after imperial warlords started to fight each other (it's then when they took Coruscant but failed to secure it and inevitably list it again soon after) to make his last attempt to regain power and rebuild the already shattered and weak Empire, though he ultimately fails of course. He does manage to turn Luke to the Dark Side though and briefly pushes back the NR with a few new superweapons. "Crimson Empire" follows that series and is actually amazing, you can learn a lot about Palpatine's royal guard and how one of them actually took controll of one of the Empirial remnants' factions and threatened the New Republic. To go back a bit, all dark horse stuff during the prequel era, especially the clone wars, so "Relublic", "Obsession" and erything that ties into that. "Purge" is great to see the fury of young Vader. "Dawn of Tge Jedi" and "Tales of the Jedi" comics are I think most imnteresting regarding those far past periods. If you happen to enjoy NJO series, "Chewbacca" comic expands on a very important event for Chewie and Han during the Vong War and "Invasion" shows early months of it. After you finish everything, when you have read all that interests you, the greatest SW cimic book comes to the party - "Star Wars Legacy". Over a century after the movies. Pure gold, read it, you'll like it. It's an official closure to the Old Canon. That's all I can tell you, to be fair, some of those novels I did not read but I think I know enough about the stories they tell to recommend them. Carry on, long live Legends Canon, ekhem, the true canon 😉.
I like the Legends Star Wars more and is better. Rogue One was still good, so I like to add just this in there as it seems quite good and acceptable. Some comics were good too. Anything else in the "canon" are just fanfiction in my honest opinion.
It was a constant cycle Major galactic wars break out across multiple planets, leading to many dying. Mother’s, Father’s, Son, Daughter’s, friends etc etc are left as lone survivors. Now with time, that pain has now matured into either wanting to inflict pain, or prevent others from enduring what they did. Wars are fed by generational pain & loss. Push & Pull, Ying & yang, Sith & Jedi.

I don't hate canon, but the EU has such a good feeling, classic, "vintage" feeling so intrinsic to Star Wars I can't help but enjoy it far more.
What never made sense is yeah they blowed up the death Star killed the emperor and Darth Vader but there's 25,000 Star destroyers hundreds of worlds you think all the captains of starter stores are just going to bend over and take it up the ass from Skywalker and solo I don't think so

Manu Bothans is the leader of the Bothan spy ring after his death Mon Mothma (Caroline Blakiston) in Episode 6 used this to rally Rebel Alliance forces for War of Endor once Death Star 2 is gone including Palpatine (Ian Mcdiarmid 18) and Darth Father (David Prowse posthumously but voiced by James Jones Earl 10) via redemption the uprising broke out Alliance of New Planets or New Republic as it was called which had a military freedom wing Resistance new war broke out what is now known as Galactic Cold War formerly First Order Resistance War by the time that war was finished all the Sith were gone forever completely the end!

The Clone Wars up until season 7 is legends as well. And it’s the superior of the two CW series. If you care about storytelling rather than action, that is.
I just started recollecting my books from thriftbooks.com. So far 25 to replace my tattered collection and my original Thrawn trilogy I keep in a display case. Nothing will replace the memories and imagination of the authors. Good vid.

There was also the Corellian Crisis. In 18 ABY, Han Solo’s cousin Thrackan Sal-Solo - a former member of the Imperial government on Corellia - struck a deal with the Sacorrian Triad and various nationalistic groups in the Corellia System, in which they would use Centerpoint Station’s massive tractor beam to destroy entire star systems, making the New Republic look incompetent and drive worlds away from them. The plan ultimately failed when Luke Skywalker recruited the Bakurans to help take back the Corellian System from the plotters, with the help of Admiral Ackbar in the Battle of Centerpoint Station.

This just proves of how much more interesting legends is to Cannon in the terms of the Civil War end of the year after the battle of Endor, which I just personally find very unlikely that the released the war would’ve continued to rage on for at least another five years as the Empire already had an established military with like 25,000 star destroyers obviously the fracturing of the Empire would play a role as the Empire is an autocracy and normally when an autocrat is killed if there isn’t a stable succession plan, the entire regime would collapse in the power plays its different individual start making them move the power. This probably wouldn’t have what would’ve happened in the Soviet Union had the Germans successfully taken Moscow with Starling in it the Soviet Union would have began to fracture after that in a clear leadership it would’ve led to the to the union crumbling. In the case of the Empire. The fracturing of the Empire would be a whole new stage in the Civil War and personally something where many interesting stories untold, instead of ending the warin an unrealistic way and poverty and didn’t even need contingency plans like operation cinder if the whole goal was to burn down his empire, then the simple fact that the Empire would collapse after his death, leading to 2 years of violence is probably enough
Sheev name was invented by Lucas for the undwrworld series and sooner or later wpuld have been brought into the EU, had there been no reboot. So for all intents and purposes it's canon in Legends as well.

DAAAAAAAM!!! I grew up in early 2000 purely on Prequel Trilogy, Clone Wars and The Old Republic (Lots of pre EP1 lore). I was always apathetic towards most of Heir of the Empire stuff and OT books and neglected it all as lore in between ep iv and vi. I simply read Legacy comicbooks and Yuuzhan Wong invasion thinking that's pretty much it for post ep vi lore. Thinking that everything regarding empire was done with Return of the Jedi Victory Celebration on Endor. BUT HOLY SHIT!!! You're telling me all of this was AFFFTEEER EPSIODE VI? Yo, this vid opened my eyes. I gotta go grab some of the legend material bro. Thanks for the vid. Now looking at it.. heck... Mandalorian is literally set a day after the end of the Civil War... Hmm, maybe that's not a coincidence by Jon and Dave? Maybe they're actually setting up the continuation of the Civil War all the way up to Mando? I mean Rebels kinda set it up and Thrawn's still out there.

This just proves of how much more interesting legends is to Cannon in the terms of the Civil War end of the year after the battle of Endor, which I just personally find very unlikely that the released the war would’ve continued to rage on for at least another five years as the Empire already had an established military with like 25,000 star destroyers obviously the fracturing of the Empire would play a role as the Empire is an autocracy and normally when an autocrat is killed if there isn’t a stable succession plan, the entire regime would collapse in the power plays its different individual start making them move the power. This probably wouldn’t have what would’ve happened in the Soviet Union had the Germans successfully taken Moscow with Starling in it the Soviet Union would have began to fracture after that in a clear leadership it would’ve led to the to the union crumbling. In the case of the Empire. The fracturing of the Empire would be a whole new stage in the Civil War and personally something where many interesting stories untold, instead of ending the warin an unrealistic way and poverty and didn’t even need contingency plans like operation cinder if the whole goal was to burn down his empire, then the simple fact that the Empire would collapse after his death, leading to 2 years of violence is probably enough

DAAAAAAAM!!! I grew up in early 2000 purely on Prequel Trilogy, Clone Wars and The Old Republic (Lots of pre EP1 lore). I was always apathetic towards most of Heir of the Empire stuff and OT books and neglected it all as lore in between ep iv and vi. I simply read Legacy comicbooks and Yuuzhan Wong invasion thinking that's pretty much it for post ep vi lore. Thinking that everything regarding empire was done with Return of the Jedi Victory Celebration on Endor.

Maybe they're actually setting up the continuation of the Civil War all the way up to Mando? I mean Rebels kinda set it up and Thrawn's still out there.
Star Wars: Rebels and the Mandalorian are part of the Disney timeline. This is the Legends timeline.
