  • เผยแพร่เมื่อ 15 มิ.ย. 2014
  • In this video we show a couple of tactical and fast reload techniques and a quick tutorial for a better recoil management with the HK G3.
    Tactical reload is the action of reloading a weapon that has only fired a few rounds out of its magazine, and retaining the original magazine.
    Fast reload or speed reload is the action of reloading a weapon in a very short amount of time by ejecting the empty magazine on the ground and loading a full magazine in the firearm.

    Nice work.
    I carried this rifle in the military. The recoil is somehow "sweet" for such a large caliber. A true pleasure to shoot.
    The only things I didn't like were the fact that I had to charge the bolt between mags, and the sling was garbage as the tang that inserted in to the buttstock would always deform and come loose.
    The G3 is an accurate beast and it can take a real beating. I personally saw one that had been warped so badly the bolt would hardly cycle, so the soldier simply put it on a step and gave it a stomp to straighten it out and it functioned flawlessly after.

      The PTR-91 was made with the same tooling from FBP/INDEP which produced over 300.000 G3 battle rifle's used in the Portuguese Colonial War. You should be proud of your weapon. If you ever get hold of a Portuguese made barrel from a FBP G3, you might want to acquire it ;)
      The US bought thousands of G3's to remove their barrels and adapt them to their early M16's (or at least many claim) due to the barrel superior quality made by FBP/INDEP.

    Move your hand closer to the muzzle is great for controlling your gun but according to my experience it get tired very quickly. It's not sustainable for long operations. Eventually you will revert back to conventional grip. Having said that this type of grip has the best control to date and it's good for short engagement not long ones though.

    In my simple opinion, I truly believe that the G3 battle rifle is the finest most reliable and best made battle rifle to have ever been made. The delayed roller blowback system is just genius in design. I admire the AK and AR designs very much also but when it comes down to absolute reliability the HK G3 is battle proven to be a in the best designs ever made. They are not cheap to manufacture but the fit and feel are second to none. They are quite heavy but in my experience that helps tame the 7.62 NATO cartridge. Which history has proven to be a more effective man stopping round than either the 5.56 mayo cartridge and/or the 7.62X39 Russian cartridge. The NATO 7.62X54 (.308) is a very effective long range loading. There have been some serious long range shots made with the little 30-06 short cartridge. Plus there is a far larger choice of bullet designs and bullet weights available for the 7.72X54 NATO, .(308) cartridge. I'm not saying that the 5.56X45 NATO cartridge and the 7.62X39 Russian cartridge are not very fine rounds and they are very effective against human size targets. But the 7.62 NATO cartridge has a history of being a more deadly round when hunting humans.

      you mean when he looks to the sides and over his shoulder?
      It's a military thing; before doing it, you check to see if your target is down and if your weapon is jammed, then you look around to see if your buddies are okay and to see if there's an enemy sneaking up on you from the flanks and from behind.
      It's also done to ease the tunnel-vision you get from being in a firefight.
      Every half-competent military force on earth teaches their recruits this, so that's why you see it so often in games etc...

      Polenar Tactical Ah yes that may be a problem. Your only option if you cant find a retailer would be to have a rail welded to the receiver if you for-go the claw mount. Which honestly is probably the best way to go anyway, will be much stronger and more accurate if you find someone that knows how to weld. Best of luck.

      @riflemanm16a2 10 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      The PTR-91 is just as good in my experience. You can get them for around $1000, less if you get the GI model.

    • @vgman94
      @vgman94 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Riflemanm16a2 Why is the GI model cheaper? Is there a qualitative difference? from what I've read, the PTR-91F has better accuracy over 100 yards than the GI model, while the GI model is better suited to deal with certain types of ammunition, like tar sealed ammo. But, I've also read a claim that the newer PTR-91Fs are made to be able to deal with tar sealed ammo as well. I just don't know...

    • @riflemanm16a2
      @riflemanm16a2 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      I bought a PTR-91F in early 2012 (so it was probably made in late 2011). I have never had a malfunction while firing (I've had some weird reloading problems when using steel mags though where the bolt doesn't want to close). I have not used tar-sealed ammo to my knowledge, but I have used cheap stuff like Silver Bear and Monarch without any problems.
      The main two differences between the 91F and the GI are the barrel and the finish. The 91F has a heavy barrel with a 1:12 twist (IIRC), and the GI has a regular G3 profile barrel with 1:10 twist. Secondly, the 91F has a black paint/polycoat finish (similar to a CZ) on top of a parkarized finish; whereas, the GI only has the parkarization with no extra coating.
      Anything you read about tight chambers or ammo pickiness is probably in reference to guns built around 2008-2009. Any new production gun should be fine.

    • @vgman94
      @vgman94 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Riflemanm16a2 I see. I am new to guns as far as their general anatomy goes. I know there's benefits to a heavy barrel (can't remember what exactly, though. I think slower heat build up and better accuracy), but what happens when the bolt doesn't close? And how do you fix that?

    • @riflemanm16a2
      @riflemanm16a2 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      The bolt doesn't close sometimes when I use steel magazines, so I have to charge the gun twice (slap the charging handle down and then pull back on it a second time and release). My solution was to stop using steel magazines and only use the alloy mags. This only happens when reloading; it doesn't cause jamming when shooting though. I don't know if this is a problem with just my gun or PTRs in general.
      I forgot to mention another minor difference is that the GI model comes with green plastic G3 handguard and stock. The 91F comes with a PTR designed aluminum handguard that you can attach rails to. It's a nice handguard, but I replaced mine with the G3 wide handguard (better heat shielding and looks cooler).

    If you treat the G3 as any bolt action rifle and keep your left hand steady, you keep the rifle in better balance and can find your aim faster. I have seen this over again this year in our annual national marksmanship competition in which they use G3 and Sauer bolt action rifles against 3 targets at 140, 70 and 170 meters distance in 30 seconds. 3 magazine changes. Right hand does all work.

      Luis R. Indeed...German stuff are pretty cool, so is their weaponry.We shouldn't forget that most of the modern weapons and military equipment of today evolved through the german ww2 scientific research and tecnology.One simple example is that perhaps no AK47 or even M16 would exist, if there wasn't first the STG44 (Sturmgewehr).The first assault rifle desinged by Hugo Schmeisser.

    • @jason1182000
      @jason1182000 9 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      You're actually wrong as the Federov Avtomat and Cei Rigotti were both automatic rifles that fired an intermediate 6.5mm cartridge. The StG was the first mass produced assault rifle. However I agree the AK and M16 would've never appeared if the StG 44 had not been made.

      TheGaminWeaselNever knew these rifles before.I guess knowledge is a never ending trip.I looked up for them and i noticed that the Russian FA is like a copy from the Italian Cei Rigotti.However you're right.I should add that the STG44 was the first most integrated assault rifle.It's surprising how many years ahead the Germans were and still are.Just check out how similar the philosophy and designs is, of the weapons they had 7 decades ago compared to the present modern weapons.

      Its called " situational awareness ", many military taught it to their soldier. " situational awareness is used as countermeasure for flank and outmanuever from enemies. For example : there is 2 soldier in a forest, they are called A team. Suddenly, they meet B team, which is their enemies. Both team went to firefight. One guy from the A team tries to outmanuever B team by flanking them, while the other guy providing suppresive fire for his flanking friend. Then the B team counter the cease fire by pinning down the cease fire guy, his friend which is try to flank had flank the B team and came up from behind them, shoot the B team, and thats it, B team dies and A team won.
      If you where B team, you would use this situational awareness by checking your back every time you reload, so when enemy team are flanking you, and you use situational awareness, and you spotted the flanking enemies, you can counter attack them, then the flanking enemies get pinned down and dies, then you win..
