Thanks for watching! Chris & Ange
Hi Chris and Ange, really enjoy your videos from my recliner in Austin Texas! I do have several suggestions for you to consider:
1. If you haven't done it so far get a rope of some kind (like used for securing a dog which is metal wire covered by plastic) to tie to your engine and the other end secured to your boat. Should your engine ever come loose and fall off you won't lose it (seen this happen before).
2. Get a round swimming tube or inner tube and secure a round plastic laundry tub (without holes except the top) to put your fish in immediately after spearing them. You don't want to be in the water too long with a bleeding fish. Just tie the tube to your boat with about 75 feet or so of rope so you can be away from the boat while spearfishing.
3. When i was in Bora Bora i used to feed the fish daily while in the water
This brought dozens of fish around the food source. Put some food (scraps work well) in a bag with small holes (like used for laundering fragile clothes in a washing machine) tied to a rope with a light weight and let the fish come to the bag and shoot them when one you want comes up. You may need a small float to tie to the top of the bag to keep it floating in the water (tie the closed opening of the bag to the rope and attach the float at the top). I've tried this before and it brings the fish in once they smell food. FYI: i did have a small parrot fish bite the end of my finger taking a chunk out of it but nothing like yours.
Be safe and good luck in your travels!
That crossing in a boat that size is game, gets horrible along that jetty at times. Well done.
Thanks
When free-diving down to shoot, best practice Is not too have the snorkel in you mouth. If you happen to blackout the snorkel will allow water to flow straight down into lungs.
Thanks mate, I'm aware of that. When I'm basically at snorkeling depth I don't worry too much as no chance of me blacking out from a long breath hold
Very nice area. Like the boat and it is treating you well. Take care!!
Thanks a lot for watching! The boat has been awesome so far, hope you enjoy next week's island adventure :)
Great stuff Angi and Chris 👍 take care 🍀🙏🍀
Pres the orange dot on the marker of your location and you get a lot mor info and get to choose the different models
what an amazing spot. The footage is great . The boat investment was a great decision .You are both so enjoying it.Wishing you both a safe and very merry christmas .
Thank you so much David for watching and commenting every Friday, it means a lot! Wishing you too a Merry Christmas to you and your family :)
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year.
Thanks a lot Dave, wishing you Merry Christmas and happy holidays to you too!
Hi guys! I use Predict Wind and regularly sail offshore. Very reliable and has 5 different models. Also included is wave rain and current information. Check out the free trial.
Good to know thank you we'll look it up! Thanks for watching Charles :)
Muy Bueno. El paisaje espectacular. Muy Bonito. Saludos desde Cordoba Argentina.
Great video! It’s always seems to be so beautiful there. Tent camping is ok, but you can get hammocks for very cheap and many of them come with nets attached. Midge proof!😂 much cooler in warm weather. Thank for the videos.👍🏼
Thanks a lot Shawn for watching! I (Ange) personally don't sleep well on my back so hammock isn't for me, especially right now pregnant it wouldn't work. But yes agreed it would be much cooler! We test another tent on next week's episode. Have a great Sunday :)
Fantastic episode, such a peaceful place to have almost to yourselves. A decent filleting knife is a must
hey guys..ive used Windfinder and Windy apps for a long time now. I always average them with the Bom just because but rarely use Bom unless i have to now.
That's a good idea, thanks for the tip!
Incredible spot, great video, those were the good ol days, back when you had all your fingers
Süper VİDEO 👍❤
Just another great vid. Take care
Thanks a lot for the nice feedback Greg, much appreciated!
For my taste the new fins are too floppy. Did you get somewhere with ‘em?
Great video guys 👏. Beautiful locations and your ending scene and music selection 🎶 was outstanding 👍
Cheers from Miami Florida 🇺🇸
Thank you so much for watching all the way from Florida, glad you enjoyed the episode!
Great time Angi and Chris. I have not seen MOG I hope is no stolen. Any MOG adventure on the way?
Thanks for watching Victor. There isn't much to do/see in the Mog where we are right now so that's why we are focusing on boat adventures :) it also allows us to escape the shore and be able to swim (no crocs!).
When u flying in the boat going fast are u at full throttle with the 20hp
good vid thanks lee
Amazing!!🏝️
Great video.just a tip.if you want an even better anchor.add 2m galv chain between anchor and rope.will keep the anchor down and digging in
Also, an attached pouch to stow the anchor rope/chain might free up space at the bow a little, when underway.... You have selected a very lightweight anchor. Keep an eye out for anchor dragging, when diving in a stiffer breeze, to avoid a longer swim !😉
Thank you so much for watching! Yes we have actually added some chain since this video, it's been much better :) Have a great Sunday and hope you enjoy next week's island adventure!
Gorgeous spot and much better place to get used to the boat than your first outing.
Chris do you use a dive flag I know it's difficult for free diving but when Ange set off to look for you it made me a little concerned that you were still under with a boat not really knowing your wareabouts. Hope the filleted finger is on the mend.
Wishing you both a merry Christmas and wonderful New Year. Stay safe
CHRIS,&ANGIE,,HELLO,IN GOOD WEATHER,the boat goes great
