I was using this method but all of the sudden I cannot see my timers anymore. Works for my older version of Premiere (15.4.5) but not for the newer version (22.5). Even if I open a project that had the timecode, they are not appearing. Have you come across this issue?

If you want to count from 0-1000 start by going in to effects controls and changing the following timecode settings:
