I've watched a few of your videos now and despite living here for about 16 years I'm quite amazed at how captivating your videos are. They truly capture what life is actually like here, and that's unique on TH-cam. Especially how unrushed everything is. Top marks. 🎉
Thanks, Andy. It was nice meeting you at the vlogger event. I've been having so much fun that I haven't posted anything for a while; however, your endorsement does give me some motivation. Thanks for watching. Cheers!
The operation is ran by a local organization (Tan-awan Oslob Sea Wardens and Fishermen's Association-TOSWFA). It has one entry point and it is super easy to find. Many people & places, near and far, offer packages that provide transportation and meals. I took a bus from Cebu City and rented a motorbike so I just went on my own. Be early and you will get in no problem. Thanks for watching.
I look at this the same as a zoo on land but they can come and go as they please. Besides, it has given the local community a huge economic boost. If I have to choose between a dozen whale sharks (non-mammalian vertebrates) and a large human community being supported, I choose the humans. But thanks for watching.
As usual it's about the money. People can still have this experience without spoon feeding the whale sharks. It disrupts their migration pattern that's why these animals are now rarely spotted in Donsol or Camiguin for they obviously stay for an easy meal. Imagine if the whale watching industry in California are feeding the whales migrating back and forth in the Pacific Ocean, it would be disastrous for the natural order of things. But I'm guessing your priority is supporting an easy income for the locals than protecting the natural environment. No wonder it's always a 3rd world country with 3rd world priorities.@@AmericanForeigner
@jamesb3146 imagining hypothetical situations only helps an agenda. My agenda is having fun. The Filipinos that work there are very hard-working, honest people. They are able to make a very good living by feeding fish. That's a win in my book. I can promise you that the whale sharks will be OK even if a dozen or so miss out on mating. Really, it's going to be ok. I look forward to going back.
I really do hope that since this is govt approved, only a select few "pet" sharks are here and a large part of their species is still independent and completely wild. The ocean is larg af.
@pulkitbansal5037 in the overall grand scheme of things it's really not that many that hang out there. It's probably less than the amount monkeys that you would see at a zoo. Thanks for watching.

Hi new subscriber here! Thanks for sharing! May I know what camera do you used underwater?
Hello, and thanks for the sub. The camera is a GoPro 10. I think I used 5k 60fps to record underwater and then rendered it in 1080P 60fps.
So fast I hope there is more strengthened to avoid danger I hope

The road is not nice hope that the goverment see this specially the mayor coz they earn more money how about there taxes
Please stop patronizing people feeding the whale sharks. It's unnatural and ruins the ecosystem.
