Beat me too to it! Thanks tho
OMG thank you
i think the best place for diamonds are sea treaders path
I think this guy might be the famous TH-camr you found before they were famous, seriously underrated
Wow you’re an og@@Dana0709
I agree @sawyermccall2370
Cool
Totally
Absolutely
The grassy plateaus is also really good for quartz if you look in the red grass
Especially at night when you can see it better
yeah i built my base there, and the scanner room made it super easy to find it all
Yeah, there’s also tons of sandstone outcrops there.
@@rocket_hopsI also built a base there lol. I built it in the western one.
@@Octagongd the southern one for me, it was like 500m from my lifepod, and i comepletly forgot the map, but i was super central near the uh, shrome cave and the trench down to the river
Alternate title: "Reasons to build main base at the border between grand reef and kelp forest"
I didn’t even know those two biomes connected Sense 4 days ago
About salt and its potential. If you’re playing hard-core, it is your main source of water until you can get Bubo trees and marble melons in your cyclops plus it’s way easier to manage your hydration because it gives even more than the unfiltered water. This is basically hacks bleach is a weird recipe for water. It requires one tube, coral sample and one salt deposit. Once you make bleach, you can make two bottles of unfiltered water, which means easier management of inventory, as well as filling your entire water meter with only a few disinfected waters.
You can actually fill your entire meter to 100 with only four of them and since one bleach is two filtered waters you save time with inventory management😅
Yeah, bleach water is actually really OP early game, definitely under appreciated
Yup, I take the water from the desalinator on expeditions where I have no access to a fabricator, keep it along with a medpack, cured peeper/reginald and a beacon in my seamoth, prawn and personal inventor at all times. Otherwise I use the salt from the desalinator for bleach and that's the water I drink when I do have a fabricator at hand.
For early Crystalline Sulfur, such as needing it to get the Jet Boosters for the Prawnsuit, (because who wants to navigate the Prawnsuit into deeper areas without it!), head down to the Lost River area with your Seamoth. Then swim around hovering just above the lethal green river, this will allow you to see nodes of Crystalline Sulfur. Use the Propulsion Cannon to suck those little buggers right out of the river without taking damage.
Grav trap seems like a better tool for that, but yeah
@@Mia199603 Or tank it like a man and use a first aid kit
The water Filter uses way more power than it’s worth! I’m proud to be one of the only 3 people who constantly needs salt.
Ladies and gentlemen, we found someone who actually uses salt :D
@@Breathtaker5000i use it to make bleach for water 😅
I'm another one of the 3 people who constantly use salt. Such a versatile product 😅
i use it for curing reginalds as an emergency food source
I tried the water filtration system in my base, but then I realized just how much energy it took and decided to save it for when I have a base reliant on thermal or nuclear energy. Now I just have a swarm of bulbo trees in my base to serve as emergency water rations. :)
Thank you for making simple, straightforward videos that are easy to watch.
This guy is an absolute troll for not telling us that sulfur is behind EXPLODING FISH😂
The aint exploding fish the fucking suicide fish 😂
You should already know that
@@thearizonian9500 sarcasm mate. Sarcasam
@@thearizonian9500 not everyone knows every detail about a singular game
I'm actually here cause I'm only about 2hrs into my first play and had no clue where to find it 😅
I can't believe bro said the mountain island is better than the sea treader's path when it LITERALLY has INFINITE shale outcrops.
That you also have to wait for them tj be dug up and also have to watch oxygen. You don't need enough diamond for that to be a better option.
@@rickywood8805prawn suit is the answer to oxygen, and even then the path has WAY more than just diamonds
You can get lithium and diamonds way faster on the island
Honestly just get all you can from the island and if you somehow need more ,head for the seat readers path
I did not know silver could spawn beneath the floating islands I need a lot so thank you
No problem!
The last run i did of subnautica i found an ungodly amount of large silver deposits in the lost river.
5:24 salt is actually really useful. It is used to craft the best water source for the early game. If you take salt and a coral tube sample, you can make bleach, which turns into 2 bottles of distilled water. Distilled water fills more water than the filtered water that comes from Bladderfish, plus you don't have to hunt down fish to get it. I usually just transition to Marblemelons and Bulbo Trees for my food and water needs once I hit the mid-game though.
That is largely irelevant, given how the holy grail of restoration, the machine of infinite Americano Coffees, is scannable without leaving the safe shallows 😀
Sparse Reef with the nearby areas just contains so much resources that it tempts me everytime to make a base there or in the grassy plateau beside it. Everything except for the Nickel and Kyanite (maybe Uranium but who needs it en masse) can be found near there.
Also one honorable mention id give to the north blood kelp zone LR corridor, that corridor and the forest after it contains a LOT of titanium and copper nodes. I filled my whole cyclops with them and had to come back home to offload it.
Placing a scanner room in the deep sparse reef is so overpowered, you get visibility into so many areas. I will definitely have to check out the northern LR corridor
Depending on where you place your base, you can get uranium within fair distance as well. The blood kelp trench can spawn a fair few large deposits to keep your reactor running for ages. Get a scanner room with some upgrades and you never need to worry about running out of power again
I’m currently at work salvaging every single piece of metal salvage in the game and every fragment. To help clean up the ocean. Man I wish we could salvage scraps of wrecks. I have so many lockers full of titanium ingots, it’s crazy. I set up a scanner room as a base behind the aurora and have three range upgrades and one speed. Once I’ve gotten every metal piece and every fragment in the scannable area, I deconstruct the scanner room and move it a few hundred meters to get the next cache. Honestly, it’s quite a fun task. And I wish the crash zone away from the ship was more diverse because I really love the crash zone plateaus
the ingots aren't good for much, you should build planters, and rooms for more planters.
@@kingmasterlord or… I do what I want and just store the ingots
@@paytonallen1027 at what point exactly did i boss you around? my avatar is not an invitation to be a dick.
@@kingmasterlord I don’t care about your avatar. I miss the troll meme. And sorry, it felt like you were telling me what to do with my resources
That feeling when you're a new player and you don't know where any of these named biomes are, making almost every tip given in this video confusing.
Speaking of resources i once attempted to cover an entire biome in aerogel
bro I swear this guy never fails to take my breath away, good job for making a really useful video!!! NOW I KNOW WHERE THE LOST RIVER IS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Glad you enjoyed! :D

This man is underrated
Glad you think so :)
Amazing videos man. You’ve earned a sub for sure. Keep up the good work!
Glad you liked it :) Welcome aboard!

So glad TH-cam lead... 😂 (resource) me to your channel! I've been binge watching your content the past few days!! Excited to see more content! Super insightful!
I have tried so hard to get luthium… This was helpful
I have a base in the cove tree area and surprisingly, there is a decent amount of magnetite there. So I get it there. There’s even magnetite deposits.
Thanks for the guide. Traveling all the way to the lost river takes awhile with cyclops and prawn so this is much nicer going to sparse reef and blood kelp trench.
your one of my favourite subnautica youtubers, thanks for the video!
Wow, thanks! Im glad you enjoyed it :)
Sea treaders path is the best biome in the game
Near alien caches
Near 90% of the materials and like 40% of the big ones
Extremely usefull things that are hard to find
100% safe
Can build a void observatory near
Is near an island
Is near the lost river entrance
Has one of the coolest leviathans and tons of shit
Etc etc
For all things dropping from Shale deposits, i highly recommend going 1600SW of spawn and 300 deep to the Sea Treader Path; every step they take unearths more of the Shale deposits, and you can leave behind what you don’t need. It’s quite safe for a deep region, and cyclops/sea moth friendly
Start of the game: NOT MORE TITANIUM!
End of game after all five of my massive bases are built and I cant find anymore: *death*
Me: who has 3 mega bases and has almost run out of the stuff trying to make a tube to the bottom of the void I’ve depleted the crash zone and almost all of the bulb zone
@NeonValkyrieGaming "Time to take a laser cutter to the Aurora, use 'spawn scrapmetal 1000' and justify it as Riley savaging the whole hulk"
I love the classical music this guy plays in the background in every video
I like to collect salt and use it for food that I put inside seamoth or prawn suit, as my prepper food to eat during expeditions :)
I’d like to add that the Sea Treader’s Path is an absolutely amazing place for finding lithium, gold, and diamonds. The Sea Treaders kick up dust which reveals shale outcrops which can be mined infinitely as long as you follow a Sea Treader. And with relatively little predators or danger, its an easy stop to make to stock up on resources.
On my first playthrough I never even saw a Sea Treader Leviathan. I think I was there once to check out the lifepod and that's all.
6k subs is crazy, youre amazing brother❤
Do you think you could do a building guide?
Do I have a surprise for you ; )
th-cam.com/video/jy-N9TZqLG8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=HSta3kUTthqNGfzI
The background music is always so chill
Keep up the good work! Simply awesome!
Why thank you!
Underrated absolutely underated
Another great place to mine for both silver and Titanium is the dunes
Dunes is dangerous due to the multiple reapers but it is honestly a hidden gem much like the crashsite. High risk high reward. I usually come back from Dune trips loaded with titanium and silver. I only wish now that copper was more common in these dangerous areas to round out my needs 😂
This help me so much when I started today and need a lot of lead
You can also use the inactive lava zone to get some easy resources and you have access to the rest of the game easily through the primary facility.
For Lithium, I’ve also had good luck in the mushroom forests
Especially early before you get the prawn suit, since you can just find them around the mushroom trees
Kelp Forest is hands down the best source (at least early game) for just about anything. You get both types of outcrops besides shale, kelp shavings/fruit, titanium, dogteeth, and can refill on air. Scanning for even more titanium + i believe there's crashfish or at least not far away. Just be careful about building a base there as the doggos will play fetch with your scanner room cameras.
then when you go to the mountain island, if you dont forget to grab magnetite from the shallow parts around the island, plus all the shale, you basically can ignore the jellyshrooms
This is amazingly helpful thankyou so much
Great video
Thanks ;)
@@Breathtaker5000you're welcome
I started playing this game yesterday after a 2-3 year break. Thanks for this video 🫶🏻
Glad it could help 🙂
You can also get a lot of copper off of Reefbacks' backs!! you can break the bright turquoise barnacles to get it c:
If i don’t find any in some limestone i go to their backs to
2:35
Dude i wanted to go get my cyclops and seamoth down to the lost river junction so, starting from the skeleton closes to the tree cove, i took my seaglide and picked some bladderfish up around the cove and made my way all the way to the thermal plant teleporter just to get back to the tower island and retrieve my other vehicles. Shit u not had barely 30 secs left when i made it to the airtight gate. Picked up some Kyanite on the way through! 2 failed attempts LOL
under no circumstances tell him that I really like how his voice sounds in these videos and that its strangely relaxing k thanks bye
also you can find uraninite in the mountains biome {figured that out by myself while looking for magnetite}
W vid man keep up the good work
good videos man keep it up
Thank you
Copper is also REALLY easy to get from Reefback's barnacles, albeit not in as large quantities, and this is renewable.
Very nice guide
Those silt stomping creatures kick up shale and its a lot of diamonds.
I don’t have much to add, but I’d like to boost your interactivity, so I’ll leave a comment and like
This helped a lot
But this mining 8s all assuming that you can find the prawn suit and the drill arm fragments to even mine them. A guide on how to get these 2 things would be great
I’m wondering if there’s any locations where Magnetite spawns above 200 meters. I like to play with the Deathrun mod, which requires magnetite for the habitat builder, and also adds a personal crush depth of 200m without the radiation suit. Since the Jellyshroom Cave goes way below 200m I can’t get the habitat builder until after the Aurora explodes and I’m impatient when I’m speedrunning the progression
Your best bet might be to try in the shallower parts of the mountains or mountain caves by the mountain island, pretty much every other area is gonna be below 200m (accept for 1 part of the sea treaders path which sits at 170m according to the wiki)
thanks i need the vid rn
Glad it helped :)
I am one of the three people who needs a metric tonne of salt. Cured reginald is an excellent food source.
Honestly for titanium just build a scanner room and steal you titanium from the stalkers(kelp forrest)
Thanks for that guide, but... About salt and silver... You dont say, that salt can really useful at the start and mid of the game for make A BUNCH of water bottles. And you also forgot, that silver can be very much at dunes. I think that thats all. Can you make video about secondary resources, like stalker tooths, jelly spheres, acid mushrooms and more kind of that. Pls?
Yeah I have seen the ion cubes animations
So. Ive been told that metal salvage respawns at the bsck of the aurora. Im mewlry completely out exceot for reaper areas (like scammer picks up nothing with max range) does it truely resoawn or am i being pranked
Tbh I didn’t even know the nuclear power plant was a thing I thought it was a mod
Can you do the same guide for Below Zero as well?
It’s on my list :)
Yeaaahhhh….. imma just stick to using the scanner room to find titanium
I find the kelp forest good for early game titanium farming
i went to bulb zone there is no titanium how i find it?
Btw all of the shell think like gold and diamond and lithium can be found way easier bay following the sea trader's
farming shales from sea traders for diamond lithium and gold?
Ok, but, what about other resources like Blood Oil, Stalker Teeth, and other such resources?
Copper is always so annoying 🙄
Especially when making computer chip
Is it just me or does copper kinda look like the cyclops in the mobile vehicle bay
6:50 you arent alone, i too call it *uranite* and not uraninite.
Can anyone put timestamps for the minerals

Is there diamonds in the lost river
What about the sea treaders path for I finite shale outcrops
do minerals respawn? I've read conflincting info on the internet, and mainly very old forum posts from 2018 that might not be relevant anymore.
I only the seatreaders can
I have went *sighs* 12 hours not knowing u can get titanium from salvage (its my first playtrough dont bully me)
Me too it's okay😭😂 it's not intuitive!
7:22 it's can be changed to tree cove
I still can’t find table coral sample. I’ve been looking all over. Got the knife etc. can’t find it
Safe shallows
Like the top comment, you seem like a popular creator but before you became big.
I’m glad to find your channel this early. :P
I need salt for water.
Too lazy to make a water filtrator thing and too lazy to try catching bladderfish.
5:20 UNDERWATER ISLANDS
The map? Is that in game, cause I can't find
İsn't the map means whole game map not interactible Map
Wait, only 17? I thought there was more than 30 raw ores
A below zero video with this same information would be very nice.
Also, very helpful. Thanks. :)
5:32 Do most people not cure their food?
Its always best. Like mu go to is 4 cured fish and 4-5 bottles of water. Will last me a trip through the entire map in a prawn suit/ seamoth
My brother is one of the three people that uses salt
Soooooooo…. If I was experienced enough to know all the specific areas of the game…. I probably wouldn’t need a guide to tell me where things can be found 😂
Subbed at 32k
To be honest i dont think its a GOOD idea going to the Lost River Like doing 1k Just for 1 piece of Cooper?yeah no ill pass
Quite a lot of inaccuracies in that. I’ll stick with Chemical Apes and Last Bacon
Not me also learning it’s uraninite and not urinite 😂
HEY DONT TALK SH*T ABOUT MY SALT I NEED THAT STUFF FOR CURED PEEPERS OKAY I DONT HAVE A PROBLEM
I thought there were more materials ☹️
Did this guy just hit puberty or something?😂
Are you considering doing one of these kinds of videos for below zero as well?
You sound a lot like ccmaci lol
Doesnt lithium and any other alkali metal explode violently when it touches water 😂 i know a layer of oxidation can prevent that but you can drill a deposit exposing fresh lithium 😂
