TX22 was my wife's first handgun, she fell in love of one in cyan blue frame and grey slide, looks goofy but she loves it. Super reliable, eats everything and got my wife into guns really well, now she's got more than 10 guns of her own and everything started with this gun.
I have two .22lr pistols, a Ruger MkII that I bought in the 1980s and a Browning Buckmark that I picked up about 10 years ago. I shoot them from time to time and really enjoy just plinking with them. I never considered a .22lr like the TX22 but it seems to be a potential fun machine. My favorite FFL happens to have one of the purple framed examples in the case that has set there for months. I might have to try haggling him down to three bills or a little less and pick it up for a fun gun. The purple is ugly but I could live with it. I think the TX22 and one of the small rimfire spinners would be a fun time 😋
I wanted a 22 pistol and suppressor. I did my research and ended up with the Tx22 compact. Great choice. Feels really nice in the hand and has a surprisingly nice trigger. Really inexpensive for a reliable pistol with grwat features.
Got this new with great rebate. Taurus's soft range case works well with this gun. I'm glad I bought this version but I'm not sure the newer full-size with the slide cutouts isn't the better option. Aftermarket sites are on the slim side, the gun was obviously built for optics. It's a great gun and everybody that's used it walked away impressed
Less then a hundred rounds through it (nothing even close to a malfunction) but very fun at the range. Grip is a little 'fat' for my medium glove hands but not uncomfortable or unpleasant at all to shoot. Other than the grip, my only quam is that it doesn't come with a movie magic endless mag capacity - it takes a LOT of will power not to mag dump every time.

A common marketplace perception - whenever a new 'hotness' comes out, suddenly the previous 'hotness' ceases to function. 😵💫
I have the OG TX 22 and love it. I also have four extra Mags.
Love my tx22 for steel challenge
