My history of buying games is similar to yours. Bought many cheap loose carts in my youth, then moved up to collecting complete (sometimes ratty) games, and now that they have become so expensive I’m back to mostly carts.
Congratulations on finding a nice Super Adventure Island, they had a good selection of Hudson games in this video!
And you dodged a bullet with Rocketeer. I once bought it for cheap, tried it once and sold it as fast as I could. One of the most boring games I’ve played, honestly! The flying part was just making laps around a field. In between those levels there is a static gallery shooter. This game should be about a guy flying a jetpack! Absolutely dire, glad you left it!
I know right - games in boxes now are just out of my price range. So I'm glad I bought the carts I did on this trip. I went to test them last night tho and alas, they need a good clean all 3 didn't work on the Super Famicom Jnr damn it.
And yes, thank you I was so keen to get this game and finally last day it popped up. I'd have liked to pay about $20 less haha but ahh well. And once I looked at videos for the Rocketeer I remembered why for so many years I kept leaving it lol! I'm glad I didn't grab it as well
Well, I too could allow myself to buy something boxed as an exception. I think Takahashi Meijin cost you about the same it cost here in Sweden when it was new. I would argue that the 10 dollars you didn’t waste on Rocketeer went into instead!
SFC Jr is incompatible with some games right? But one figures at least some of yours should work… so maybe just dirt on the connectors. I’d be glad to hear how you like Doreamon 4, haven’t heard about it before!

I only have shooters on jp ps2. I'm an ico, shadow of the colossus fan. I'm a god of war fan as well. The most impressive unspoken hero on ps2 for me are the burnout games from 2 onwards. Mind blowing graphics for ps2, ntsc games are 480p, only burnout revenge is progressive on pal.
Ahhh yes I love the Burnout games so good. We've actually got the PS2 setup to the WEGA Sony TV in the games room and the picture is sublime! Might have to jump into something this afternoon :)

Soul reaver 2 is a dope ps2 game, also silent hill and resident evil.
Silent Hill is great but gosh I have to watch people playing it I can't play it myself. Dreading the remake this week lol! I'll be screaming my head off

Hey Rush! Yeah we had a good trip all things considering. We got lucky at the Book Off a few videos back - that was for sure the best deals the entire time. It just comes to looking through everything. Some stuff hasn't been repriced yet
