This is the best tv series ive ever watched hands down! The acting, props, scenery, and the scale of horror mixed with human kindness is truly mind bending..
The crucial piece of this story, was intangible and invisible - June’s inner strength, the resilience of her spirit. In spite of unspeakable pain, and unrelenting evil she established a fortress inside that projected her will and her drive, without weakness. At the same time her conviction about the fundamental dignity of others never wavered. I just think there was so much value in seeing someone model moral clarity through struggle, helping the weakest, and believing in herself while establishing an unbreakable boundary where she was unwilling to reconcile with fundamental injustice. It’s hard to put into words, but her channeling of a spirit of bravery and heroism is something we rarely see, but represents the highest path a person could walk.
Expect that now she is in danger of losing herself completely to vengeance. It's an incredibly fine line to walk and it's completely understandable. Will she bring down Gilead to save Hannah? At what cost?

We all hope that won’t be the case but I think deep down, we all know that that’s how the story will end. June has escaped death SO many times, if she finally loses that fight but wins by bringing Hannah out of Gilead it will be worth her life.
Excellent edit. Haven't seen anyone address this but when the late Commander's finger and ring was sent back to Serena it was a reminder of that moment when Serena's finger was taken. It's like I did it for us....women. It was a reminder of why she didn't want the baby to remain in Gilead.

Yeh I made my brother watch it and he is 30. He even said how good it was. He cried in parts to lol 😆 and got so angry with aunt Lydia. It’s just funny how it pulls you in. I really hate waiting for season 5… there was apart in that at the end were I felt content with it but now I’m wondering what happens next.
To some comment: She doesn't need to be a perfect hero.This ending is perfectly logical. Like a glass, she used to be beautiful and crystal. Now that she is broken and shattered, people who did it will be cut by the remains. And even that won't undo what has been done to her(and all other women and men who either died in the war, or ripped away from their family and their life choices and live in pain for the rest of their lives) Let's not forget while Waterford and Serena were captured in Canada waiting a fair trial and expecting their first kid, many handmaids are still getting raped regularly in Gilead. Was and will get raped regularly in Gilead. (Among losing all kinds of body parts if you don't “behave well".) She suffered from the storm, she survived it, she will become one.
Yeah June's character is very strong. I admire her. At the end of Season 4, it doesn't matter if it's not enough for June that she got back at Fred. The point is, June cannot go back to how her life use to be. Not just because she's a survivor of traumatic physical abuse, emotional abuse, and sexual abuse. It's also because she can never be at peace while her oldest daughter Hannah is still trapped in Gilead. She cannot try to be happy while Hannah could end up being a handmaid. So I believe June will choose to join the Resistance against Gilead and will try to get Hannah out of there, safely to Canada, even if it means sacrificing her own life.

I personally think June will totally snap and do something really crazy and violent, like Dany on Thrones, and that’s “how” she’ll sacrifice herself to get Hannah out somehow.
Atwood had the last word as to what would happen to both of June's girls, nee her novel "The Testaments". Hannah lives until 16 in Gilead, and Nicole/" Daisy" is raised by a radical couple in Canada, NOT by June and/or Luke.
Kinda thought it would end with June going home... taking a hot Shower washing off Watersford's blood ..getting into her nice Pajamas..and getting into her cozy bed with her husband Luke..
Nope she's not June now she's Offred again. She missed her strength 💪 so she had to embody her and to do this she cannot stay with Luke. Beautiful and terrible.
