I have the camo version of this in 2019. Just passed 300 hours. Excellent for hunting, trapping, irrigating, etc. Have had 0 issues with this machine. Just added a roof, roof gun rack, and storage bin under the seat.
GREAT VIDEO. When I was looking for info back when I got mine, there was virtually only a handful of videos including what Kawasaki put out. Mine is a 2013 610XC in Camo. Pretty much the same overall with cosmetic differences, different style tires, and the 2020 is fuel injected, mine has a carburetor with a choke. So many reasons I chose the 610XC. Price and basically the features I wanted were it’s big selling points for me. It is super narrow and will go anywhere a quad will. A SxS just 6” wider and many trails I would not be able to go on. I am not a speed demon, so it’s limited top speed doesn’t mean anything to me. I just love to putt and crawl around on the local atv trails and this thing excels at it. Mud, hills, rocks, a breeze, And I have done all that In 2wd. Haven’t even really used the 4wd that much. The only thing that has slowed me down was a water hole that got a lot deeper just before it ended and I drowned it out. I have a winch on it, so winched it out and it fired right up. Just an an amazing machine. I added some things to mine. Under seat storage bin, front and rear bumpers, winch, rear hitch, and the ROOF. The roof is amazing and I highly recommend it, just saving your head from low hanging branches, is a godsend. I also bought the thunderhawk skid plates that I have to install. Just a little bit here and there over the years. I just changed out the original battery last week. Was still starting, but at almost 8 years old, didn’t wanna get stranded on a trail. Even though it’s a 2013, it’s still a baby with only 55 hours on it. Enjoy it and don’t be afraid to take it on the trails. At slow speeds, it’s virtually a tank. Very sure footed. Reliable. Simple. Seat is comfy. User friendly. Plus, you can also use it for yard work to boot....lol. Enjoy....! Btw....Great username. Love the 4570 and own several.
I have a 2018 in Camo. It was my first UTV. I use it for hunting and a little riding on Uncles farm. I love everything about it except when its under a heavy load it gets pretty loud. Hauls deer as I intended it to and gets to my hunting area quickly. Added the roof, windshield and trailer hitch after purchase. A winch is my next addition after getting stuck this winter. If it had to be replaced I would without hesitation buy another one, good value. Good video!
Great review, bud👍. I have an old 610 that I use at the hunting camp here in FL. Yes, it is slow.. and not the coolest, most expensive vehicle out there but it is very capable. We have some nasty terrain here full of deep holes, swamp and a lot of things that can mess a machine up pretty good and usually a long ass way from the hardtop. With the rear locked and in 4wd there hasn’t been many places I can’t go. We throw our dog boxes in the back and use it just like any capable pickup truck all through hunting season and it hasn’t missed a beat. Looking at a newer 2020 and was glad to see a good review, this helped me make up my mind. Preciate it!
i just bought the same one a week ago.i like the 3 year bumper to bumper warranty it was $7,785 bucks before all those dang 9% arkansas taxes. so far i love it for the money. phillip.
Great vid. I was looking at utility golf carts for my little farm. I figured a sxs was gonna be too expensive. Turns out this Mule costs less than some of the golf carts I was looking at.
Great review! I’m thinking about getting one myself. I’m tired of breaking stuff and going deep in water and dealing with the consequences. It’s absolute fun, but its getting old and I don’t have the money to keep dumping into constant maintenance. I bet if you got a winch it would be so much better! Put a 3 or 3500 lb rope winch and maybe better tires and it will be great! Thank you so much for the review! Make sure you keep us updated!
Loving my 2019 SX I put a 3500 lb winch on a 2" receiver winch plate and stuck it on the back in a 2" receiver hitch I power it with a JNC660 jump box so it has it own power and I have the jump box for backup. I have had it a couple of years now and all I have done to it is change the oil and air up the tires it has been perfect the whole time.
I live in south east Arkansas, had my kawasaki 610 mule going on 15 years now, never had a major issue, it will go most any where, bigger rigs can't go where I go
That is the perfect size side by side. I have a 07 Rhino but its about time to upgrade. I'm just alittle concerned about the power. Seems to do okay but going from a 660 to that seems like a big difference.
It is a tank. Granted it will only go 25mph. However I have gone up some steep terrain on hunts and trapping trails. Mine just passed 300 hours and it is the 2019 cammo version
Looking at one of these but have to put it on my trailer sideways and then it's too long. How long would you say it is with the bed removed. Also, just eyeballing it, how big a PITA would it be to R/R the bed a lot? Thanks!
What you described on the throttle going up hill may be just like my golf cart, use it at about half throttle. Certainly not as fast, but the engine doesn't bog and it pulls better. Getting one of these to replace my 99 Golf Cart. Golf Carts have become insanely priced. Thanks for the review.
You had a miscommunication with the dealership on the hitch. It has a dif-lock! I can go places that a larger size Polaris can’t. I am willing to give up the speed. I have a 3000lbs winch. Perfect
do you typically cruise around in 4x4L with the rear diff locked? when i have all that engaged it seems like i cant steer as well. i cruise the same type of land as you and am in 2wdH 99% of the time unless i am crawling over logs i will pop it into 4wd for a few seconds but i rarely, like very rarely, lock the rear diff. am i using my machine improperly?
Just thinking, the XC has 2in bigger tyres so must be higher geared yet still does 25mph same as standard SX. So either different diff ratio or cut the engine revs to keep top speed at 25mph? Also higher gearing will make the engine more sluggish on the road hills. If the brake drums are the same size as SX with 24 inch tyres this will reduce braking ability with 26 inch tyres on The XC. It would be very interesting to compare both models on road test together. Hoping to take delivery of new SX end of Jan 23. Don't get the XC model in UK. All the best for new year from south east Scotland.
I am in the market for a S/S and have been looking heavily at these. The one thing I have a question about, I live in Pa with steep mountains around my cabin, how do you feel it would do with 2 people and hunting gear on steep terrain?
I'm west of you in northern scott county inside the Ouachitas mountains. Probably going to buy a mule SX xc. My cabin is only 2 miles from the Sugar Creek equestrian trails. The upper Petit Jean river begins 1 mile from me.
@@shooter-vx7xy Thanks, I'll check the seat belts but my rattle is random, under the dump box, and sounds like a tin can full of nuts and bolts. Maybe back to the dealer.
i own one also and i believe you are wrong about the fuel pump and the air filter box does not pull air in from the lid like you are suggest it only pulls from the top of the ROPS. nothing against what you was doing just don't want someone mislead
No, you're absolutely right! I found that out a week or two ago but the video is already up. But I'd add, though, that the box still isn't sealed, so you still can't submerge it.
I looked at these, but just too slow. I got a used Polaris Ranger full size 570 with only 52 miles on it for $8,500. I would t be opposed to owning a mule though
It will only go 25 mph and thats down hill and on level,, Going up hill you can get out and walk faster than it will go especially if there are 2 people in it or with a load

Yes, XC is taller tires. I received my new 2022 today. :) Loving it so far. I don't plan on going on trails.
If you'd like more power, look at the Kawasaki Mule Pro MX. They're 695cc, and will go about 40-45 mph. Can't beat the reliability of the Mule.

I'm sure. You might be disappointed. But I also don't of any SxS today that would tick all the same boxes as a Rhino.

@@shooter-vx7xy another way to say it. Less accelerator grabs a lower gear that you need for inclines. Good luck.

I am thinking of getting one, but at 2:34, look at those welds!

The rear locks. The front is limited slip.
4570shooter agreed but all in the less than 10k $ range don’t have a diff-lock at all. Your $ was better than here in Texas!
Thank you for this video.
No problem, dude. Thanks for watching!
Excellent video. This is exactly what I'm looking for. East Texas? Thank you!
Central Arkansas!

You're fine. I'm in 2wdH for most of that video.
At 15:24 it looks like an orchard the way the trees are all parallel from watch other and in a row.
Looks like Aiken sc lol. I just bought a mule. Hope I have good service with it

The XC doesn't do 25mph. Mine did 21mph, GPS verified.
My ignition switch was loose also, caught it before it came apart
Rattle is probably the tailgate cables. Tighten the bolts slightly.
I found the source of the rattle. It's the seat belt.
I got that same one, the seatbelt rattles on mine to when I have it on
I am in the market for a S/S and have been looking heavily at these. The one thing I have a question about, I live in Pa with steep mountains around my cabin, how do you feel it would do with 2 people and hunting gear on steep terrain?
Not sure. I know that mine is like a little goat around MY area. I'm not sure how it would do in your neck of the woods.
must been built on a friday 245pm if they forgot to tighten collar nut on switch, but i like the Mules no matter what
Have never had the ignition issue on my 2019
You sold me! Thx

Awesome! Hope you like it!
I just picked up same machine, I have same rattle, did you locate the source?
it's hard to get used to no engine braking
great video
Not yet. I've only had mine a few days. I plan to go through it at some point and tighten different bolts to see if anything changes.
4570shooter another video said it was the seat belt clicker
Thank you for the review. Hard to find good information on these.
i like these things, very basic. seem to be one of the best bangs for the buck in the utv world.
Help! I have a odd rattle down by the engine clutch area, anybody know what it is? My mule is a 2020 with about 30 minutes of engine run time.
Is it your seat belt box? That's what it was on mine. Watch my "quirks" video on the Mule.
@@shooter-vx7xy 100 % not the seat belt box, sounds like a small cowbell bouncing around in the clutch housing.
Seat belt locking mechanism that rattles
Yep. I figured it out in the next video!
How did you manage to make it look like your are driving from the wrong side? 10:27
Oh, my camera mirrors the image when it's facing me.
Just bought the same machine, has a annoying rattle, any idea?
Seat belt.
@@shooter-vx7xy Thanks, I'll check the seat belts but my rattle is random, under the dump box, and sounds like a tin can full of nuts and bolts. Maybe back to the dealer.
@@jgilbert589 You can test it by pulling the seat belt until it locks. When it's locked, it won't rattle.

Yeah, the limited speed is the one thing I think everyone should think about before buying.
Where are you located to get it for the price you said in the video? They are about $8400 here in Georgia
Friend if mine in Cedar Grove below dublin has one with a couple inches of lift on it. Helped with ground clearance. 26inch tires. Ga. 🇺🇸
On my 3rd. One.
Probably didn’t even need 4wd engaged on most of this video.
What are your thoughts 2 yes later?
Pretty much the same! If you want something for work or hunting, they're great!
the rattle is your seat belt box
Yep
After this , I decided on the Mule pro MX.
It will only go 25 mph and thats down hill and on level,, Going up hill you can get out and walk faster than it will go especially if there are 2 people in it or with a load
You're wrong about the airbox those vents are not open you get the air from the top of the roll bar
Yes. Thank you. I found out after I'd already released the video.
I hate not having a speedometer
I did at first, but you get used to it and you're not going to be going fast enough to worry about it much anyway, lol.
I'm a grown ass man lol 😆
$7800 ??!?!?! The cheapest I can find is $8399!!!
Yes, I got $500 off in 2020.
