    I’ve got a 2012. It’s been as reliable as a rock. I turned the governor up a bit, I can get around 35mph now, which is plenty fast in the woods.
    I put a 2” lift and 2” taller tires and wheels on for more ground clearance. I lost a tiny bit on the bottom, but gained it on top end.
    I’m in Fl and the woods can get muddy and slick, this little guy will go most places with out even locking the rear, let alone using 4wd. It’s wonderful on fuel mileage, torquey and quiet. Pretty much a workhorse around the house.
    It’s not a razor to be sure, it’s a real mule. Hunting, fishing, chores, it has you covered.
    No issues mechanically at all. And, as said, the small size is a real plus in the woods.
    I’m completely happy with ours. Over 2200hrs so far…

    I enjoy your video alot, l'm 60 years old, I've had my mule 610 4x4 for 15 years now, never had a major problem other than a few batteries and one set of tires, over 950 hrs on it, for storage under the seat I used a standard plastic battery box with zip ties, about $10 bucks, alot better than $60 for the kawasaki box, really enjoyed your videos

      Same here, 1 battery 1 set of tires 1 drive belt 14 yrs . I live on a mountain side and elevation raise 800 ft in 1/2 mile. Never once been stuck , it doesn't have speed but it'll climb up anything. I'm religious with yearly maintenance

    I just purchased the same Mule you have there. Ive enjoyed your videos. Only have 2 hours on mine. I plan on using mine for huntin and work around the house.
    2 of my hunting buddys in Camp have Mules. I know from watching them in the swamps, that Kawasaki makes tough product.

    Hardly long term. I own a 2002
    3010 4x4. I live in Northern Michigan it and I use the mule
    Throughout the winter. I just
    Pull the choke, quick shot on
    The starter and,,,,,it starts. It
    Has never failed to start. Now
    That's long term. I use mine to
    Haul firewood. I have a 4x6
    Trailer that holds about 3/4
    If a face cord of wood. Say,
    700 to 800 lbs. I easily pulls
    This load in low range over and
    Over. Guess I got a good one😊

    Grandpa bought an 18 and we never have had an issue with it. It has been flawless to us. My stepdad bought a ranger 570 2020 and we’ve had a few small things go with it and the build quality isn’t near as good as Kawasaki

    I've been interested in these little Mules for a long time but my biggest hang up has been the low overall speed. It would be nice if they would give it a little more engine with power steering and maximum 50mph speed.

    • @shooter-vx7xy
      @shooter-vx7xy  ปีที่แล้ว

      Power steering was the number one thing I wished these had.

    • @Synic08
      @Synic08 ปีที่แล้ว

      25 is a good speed, and its “ok” to drive them that fast, its governed, not screaming RPM… i catch myself going about 20-25 on the dirt roads, as a comfortable, not bothering the people who live on the road, type of speed… mine goes about 45… i did that once… lol.
      25 in the woods at anytime is insane… you have to watch the rollcage for low branches and stuff…. Never find myself EVER out of low in the woods.

    Great review! And re: that broken plastic on that fuel tank connection; judging by the way the wire coming out of it is bent over so hard (almost 90 degree angle), I'd bet that someone plopping down on the seat may have pushed down on the connector hard enough to crack it.
    I picked up a 2019 Pro MX and really like it. But, like yours, it has some quality control issues that just drive me bonkers!

    Enjoy your videos. I bought same mule you have new in 2021. I’m very disappointed in mine. Has no power, breaks are horrible, rides like a stage coach. Mine has been back to dealerships 4 times for starter dragging on it and they said it was normal for that to happen. Very disappointed in Kawasaki products. We have a 1999 and a 2001 Honda recon 4 wheelers
    never had any problems with them in over 20 years of service

    Great review. The Mule was my initial choice for a side by side. I really like the looks and the form factor. Build quality was the real killer, though. I'm baffled why a Japanese manufacturer would opt for a Chinese made engine. Yeah, I'm sure that it saved them some money, but it's not like the Mule is that much cheaper than it's competitors.

    • @shooter-vx7xy

    The side by sides are getting bigger and more expensive. I wish I would have got a side by side 10 years ago. They keep adding more and more options that nobody asked for. I just want a bare bones side by side at a reasonable price. I'm not going mud bogging. I'm not gonna pull a 25 ft fully loaded trailer. I'm not gonna race anybody. Just want something to do light work around the property and occasionally cruise down the dirt roads to my neighbors. They have gotten so expensive that it's hard to justify buying a side by side or just spend a little more to buy a new truck. I'm sorry but I already have a new truck and don't need another. It won't be long before they are adding airbags, premium sound system and etc etc. Not that there is anything wrong with all the bells and whistles if that's what you want but keep it simple and I bet that's what will sale best.
    I mentioned to my brother in law I was looking to get one. Of course he had to get one also. He came home with a $25,000 monstrosity. Giant mud tires on a lift kit. Loud exhaust and loud stereo system with outdoor speakers. Bucket seats with 3 point harness no bed. It's hardly what I had in mind. No room for his wife or kids. Guaranteed to catch the eye of the county sheriff's department if he's burning up the roads in the neighborhood. Maybe I'm just to damn old for this stuff. LESS IS MORE!

    Thanks for interesting review, I agree about storage, having tried Honda pioneer 520 with hellish transmission noise, rough coarse gear change, and Mule SX over rough hill land, the SX rides easier, smoother with simple suspension than the P520 that jumps all over the place with sophisticated independent suspension. Mule is noisy pulling hard on high revs especially with roof and screen, not as fast as P520 but a lot less money which I think makes it great value for money. And I like the open diff for tight turns on hard surfaces. Thanks again for video.

    Your videos have been so informative and just downright helpful, so thank you for putting the time into them for all of us. My son and I ended up getting a 2021 XC LE. It took around eight weeks for it to come in and I almost canceled the order because I was thinking of buying the MX. I decided to stick with the XC because I wanted one that I could go on the State Park ATV trails here in northeastern PA. Anything bigger and you need to go to pay and rides. It's also the perfect size for moving trailers and working around the house. I'm also going to get a KFI plow for the winter. I'm really glad I waited for the SX. We have had it for a few weeks now and we really love it. What winch did you end up going with? I'm thinking of getting the Kawasaki Warn kit, just because it's turnkey. It is a lot of $$$ though. Again, thanks for the great videos!

    • @shooter-vx7xy
      @shooter-vx7xy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks so much!
      I got a Quadboss winch with a KFI mount.
      It's worked okay so far, but I haven't used it enough yet to really give a review of it yet. The KFI mount sits up front behind the bumper and the Kawi mount sits deeper inside the machine. I kind of like the Kawi mount better, but it makes the winch harder to get at to work the freespool.

      I have a 2021 XC/LE with a KFI 60" Poly Plow and SE3500 Winch. It works great. I would highly recommend this setup. I was really impressed with how well it worked this passed winter. I live in northeastern PA. For deeper wet snow, I put 4 cinder blocks in the back. I never got stuck and never had to use the Diff-Lock. Have fun!
