I've been on TH-cam for so many years Brian and watching this video was so refreshing. I ALWAYS gleen little nuggets from your videos. You know, your channel is not only for new creators, it's for us “oldies” too! Thank you..Patti
This is one of the very best videos on how to make a great video...start to finish. Very few creators treat filming as work. You are hitting your stride!!!
I've been using my android phone, bookshelf (no tripod), natural lighting and "shotcut" editor since I started (2021). That's done fine for me so far. One of my favourite quotes is "It's not about your resources, it's about your resourcefulness". I was just thinking this morning about taking a bit of a break to go back and really think about my content and how I can make it really fit my target audience. So probably from January I'll feel like I'm making my first TH-cam video again! Thanks Brian, your house looks nice!
iPhones have come on so much . We rely on recon and research but we totaly stay away from keywords . We plan on the recon and seeing what’s working in our niche and what kind of content our audience is watching .
A friend said they couldn't make videos because they dont have a camera. I'm over here like, Dude, you have a phone. Just do it. That's what I've been useing for a couple years now.
Kaboom! On point my friend. I started my channel back in the day with the phone to prove it’s possible some of my best performing videos. Videos with over 800,000 views were filmed on the phone.
Good Morning, Brian! 🎉 This video is perfect for someone wanting to start a channel - I have many Yarnie Friends who want to start channels and I’m sharing it with them. Also, it’s pervert for me for a review and solid reminders of what I need to be doing. Thanks for another great, practical, & entertaining video. 😊
I can’t underscore the shoot where you’re comfortable enough. My studio is protected space that I have everything I need. I spend 4-5 hrs there a day so ai should!
Thanks for the feedback. Sometimes not everything gets across. My point is is that when we begin to craft and create videos were often not comfortable in front of a camera. But by striving to create a comfortable place, it makes it a bit easier and safer. Just like you mentioned with your studio voice dictated.
And I think you hit the nail on the head. You create multiple videos a day often, you spend an incredible amount of time there. But most of my viewers don’t. They’re just getting started. They don’t feel comfortable. So that’s why I mentioned this
Why thank you Casey, that connected well with the audience and I have a video on deck covering why …. and thank you for the lovely comment. have a great day!
Yeah, that sounds very awesome my friend. At the end of the day. Nothing matters more than just punching record and capturing. What’s on your mind. Practicing your delivery. Phones make that so accessible and possible. Cheers to you Johnny.
I find that the simpler it is, the more likely I will use it to film, especially if I'm out and about. Cellphones, do a great job! I like watching vlogs, and I find that the less polish the videos are, the more I can relate to the person. Thanks for the tips! As usual, they are easy to apply!
Oh, that relatability factor! I’m working on a special video that I’ll probably come out in a few weeks on being relatable and what really matters for TH-cam growth. I think you’ll like that one my friend. Hope you have a great day Judith.
Always a genuine inspiration for me, l want to start again. With the theme "who are watching my videos..as individuals, not demographics " thanks Brian,
I'm going to be doing a devlog, (which is short for developer log, or I like to say developer vlog as I'm doing the video version of the standard developer blog post). So I won't be coming up with ideas, however, I suppose I can still think about my title ahead of time. Devlogs usually appeal mostly to developers (game developers), and I want to widen to anyone who likes behind the scenes style content. (DVD/Blu-Ray bonus features, ie how to make stuff). Because of this, my "ideas" are pretty much only the game idea every time (showing progress of making a game).
Hello Brian, off your subject, my channel has died completely since a month ago & it's never happened before, I'm filming what my fans usually love, but I'm getting no views, I've had lows before, but nothing like this since my channel began, July 16th 2021, have a great week 😊
It happens, strive to focus on the actual video content and think about how you can tell a compelling story with your dumpster diving. This is hard, but over time, if you focus on doing this. You'll start to come up with ideas. Also ... continue to publish, again, channel and video views go up and down. The only way to increase those views is to: continue to publish and strive to improve what really matters to viewers. Which is the actual video content. Cheers and good luck my friend.
Bryan G! Bryan G! (Please excuse the misspelling, my stupid phone insistence on that when I talked into it…) Brian G! I just realized what was missing from your new videos… The poodles! Thanks for bringing them back. Ya dig?
What's really wierd, is I've been setting up my channel and backdrop to launch soon (hence why I'm watching). And I've been seeing myself on the screen in the same hoody. Really threw me off when you sat down.
You gonna make a GTA 6 trailer video???? It already beat Mr Beast's 24 hr view record for a non-music video and is on pace to beat BTS music video for 24hr views in general. I'm interested in what the game tapped into for such velocity. Is it simply nostalgia? Is a big business fudging the numbers? Is hating on big business simply an Internet thing and they are more relevant than a TH-camr like Mr Beast? Just interested on your take as you are a notable TH-cam analysis if you will... Have a Good one!😎✌🏾
Thank you for the heads up my friend. Really appreciate it. I did a little research today when I was putting around. But I had other bigger fish to fry. I’m working on a big video and I spent three or four hours riding and scripting this morning. Then I worked downstairs in the studio.
still after 12 yrs of youtube, I use worksitelight stand and bolt-on phone holder for car tape on it with ducktape. noone can see behind the video 🤣 as I have said earlier, If your aduience is +40yrs old people, don't polish the video, it's useless... raw material is enought if story and action is decent.
it’s easy to see things one way “don't polish the video” without question, whats most important is how someone comes across in the video. Their delivery … but, does not mean that quality video ascetics don't matter. They do, and it’s also dependent on the niche.
Im loving these new videos Brian. Its great to have you back. In 2024, Brian G Johnson will rise from the ashes like a pheonix. It's prophesized. 😊
Survey says .... it shall be!

Ah … Patti, appreciate that. Peace and power to you my friend.

@@BriangjohnsonTv yes for editing wise. Lots of work went into to this one

agreed on iphones my friend, wondering ... why do you 'totally stay away from keywords' ?
Brian. Can't wait to see you "crushing it" once again. Blessings from Mallorca.
Cheers, my friend appreciate the positive vibes. Excited to share the journey together! Let’s go!

Why thank you Casey, that connected well with the audience and I have a video on deck covering why …. and thank you for the lovely comment. have a great day!
These tips were perfect for the beginner and also a good reminder for us seasoned creators as well!
Glad you think so my friend.
Thanks, great advice, Brian G Johnson!
Pleasure my friend
I’ve been using the Camo app which allows me to control ISO, white balance, shutter speed, etc… on my iPhone 13 Mini.
It’s pretty awesome.
Yeah, that sounds very awesome my friend. At the end of the day. Nothing matters more than just punching record and capturing. What’s on your mind. Practicing your delivery. Phones make that so accessible and possible. Cheers to you Johnny.
I just ordered a new lens to go on my Sony A7c. (Wyat) 🌴🌴Aloha. Do the best you can. I improved my light. You encouraged

Magical hoodie it is. Many views you will get …. LOL
Quality of an SLR camera still better than iphone.
agreed, would not want to make videos with a phone personally. however, for someone getting started, it’s plenty.
