No point people telling you you're doing it wrong if they can't provide advice on what you're doing right and how to improve. You're doing it right, Tregs.

Hey James...loved the video. Am actually following your trail right now in Gympie. Have only found the golden arches at Maccas where I'm doing some prep by watching your video but you've given me hope.
    Cheers Mark

Have a watch of Vo Gus prospecting about panning. Rough up your bottom of your pan. Sand paper. And tap tap.

Did you find out what the sparkles were? I did some panning up there a couple of years ago and brought home a ile with some in it. I keep it as a reminder. It also made me feel like whatever I was doing was ok to get left with that material. I was also in the creek in my gum boots and a 4’ snake swam down the river right between my legs. Great video.

That was really cool ,thanks for the video,I’m thinking of going up for a look this weekend, can I use a sluice? Be great to spend a big day digging sometime with you 👍

I did see some people there with a river sluice. Just make sure it's a legal one. IE no pump or mechanical operation. I'm pretty sure that if it is just one that you sit in the flowing stream and allow the water running by to do the work it is okay. www.qld.gov.au/recreation/activities/areas-facilities/fossicking/rules/permitted-activities#:~:text=Permitted%20tools%20and%20extent%20of,and%20dredges%20of%20any%20kind.

Back in this late 60s my father worked for the council digging sewage through The Gap Queensland. Very digging up big look like gold nuggets. The foreman said it was fool's gold. I said why good near bring a couple of pieces home with you. Even if it was fool's gold and still would have looked alright. Me and my son went to Gympie and we paid money to go to some gold mine there you could pan for gold. Who is best to show us how it was done what they never came out. Some guy there with his family had been there all day and they were bored and wanted to go. But he had gold fever. He had is little vile of gold flakes. He said it was worth about $30 he'd been there for like eight hours. Cheers Graham

@@bingowashisnameo80 all I know is was The Gap which is a hilly suburb in Brisbane. Sorry my father passed away many years ago. They were digging my hand putting sewerage pipes in, I believe be the late 60s early 70s.

Not to sound a dick. But scape your panning way. Watch Dan hurd/ vogue prospecting! Best way. Specially your ending (2cups )
You want your gold to bottom out, into bottom corner, And not more.
Pretty much a ball/deposit of heavy’s (gold/black sand ) at bottom then slit lights on top.
!always let water itself remove the dirt. Never yourself (on the creek)
Tip. Have a cup left then tap your corner to really bottom that gold down. Then keep tapping as u swirl the water until gold show
