@@wedder5 they cause more problems than they fix type thing, when the inlet carbons up like this one, the flaps can jam / break giving error codes or worse they come loose and engine swallows them (dead engine) better off to just have them gone and one less thing to go wrong on a tuned engine
@@NAWFABZ Thankz for the response, If I'am right only the first swirlf flaps could destroy the engine because back in the days they where made of metal. But I understand why you deleted them, I did the same after the engine swap. But afterwards I realy missed some tourq in the low RPM ;-(.
@@NAWFABZ thanks for the advice dude! Got the back box off. The turbo whistles a lot louder! Reminds me of the big diesel pick ups over in America. The mods are larger intercooler, pipercross panel filter, remap and now the box delete
Depends what you want - exhaust noise was crap I don’t see why people spend money on diesels, but the intake work was interesting to see, more of this stuff would be good!
That's a really good video mate. I am actually quite shocked of the amount of carbon you took out. I do have the exact same car but the 330d version. I was wondering how much the exhaust modifications would cost? Never quite worked out why the hell they did that set up on 340i only.
I had my manifold off yesterday to replace the coolant flange pipe that split and my inlet manifold was just like this!!! I’m gonna get the egr, dpf, swirl flaps deleted and manifold cleaned out later this year

I’ve been planning on the EGR delete for quite a while. Booked in for a back box delete for the f30 330d tomorrow
If your doing egr delete u must take inlet off to clean all the carbon out to gain the benefits really 👍🏼

I've read that blanking off the EGR without removing the DPF will cause the DPF to get blocked up? It needs the EGR to complete a regen.
