Hello, I have been following you on this channel for over 2 years. I love what you do. We are French and we plan to buy a fifth wheel in the USA to travel and visit your beautiful country in 2026. I wanted to thank you for all your sharing and also the fact that you have included AI to translate your videos. This allows me to understand absolutely all the great content of your videos. A big thank you to you, I hope to meet you one day to discuss RV. Merry Christmas Jocelyn
Great comparison! I really appreciate this type of information. Besides the difference in width already mentioned, you did not mention the different sealing used by Brinkley or their use of color coded, tagged, and loomed wiring. The sealing process they use greatly reduces the areas that need to be inspected and resealed on a regular basis, and the wiring is easier to trace and much less spaghetti looking. The heat ducts are made of a stronger material and the island has a steel base that is attached to the frame, making it much sturdier. When I was shopping for my current RV, a Brinkley Z Air 285, I looked at Rockwood, Alliance, and Brinkley. I walked through all three manufacturers models that would fit my desires and toured all three factories. The build process at Rockwood and Brinkley were both superior to what I saw at Alliance. The work sites were kept much cleaner and the craftsmanship was head and shoulders above what I saw in the Alliance plant. Brinkley has brand new facilities, which makes things much easier for their workers, but the Rockwood folks were putting out just as good a quality. The main difference between Rockwood and Brinkley was in the materials used for the plumbing and the sealant package, and the wiring process. Rockwood is using the same materials as Alliance, but Brinkley does not use PEX connectors on vinyl hoses (both the others do this) has all brass connectors and shutoff valves at every water outlet, and the afore mentioned wiring improvements. If you can afford it, Brinkley is the way to go. If you need to mind your dollars a bit more, I would go Rockwood over Alliance. They all three have outstanding customer service.
I definitely like the Brinkley better. lol the differences make a difference to me BUT 20,000 more is a lot! After seeing the differences it would be hard to get Alliance. Thank you and Merry Christmas
I wish the Paradigm would have the beige shades instead of the black ones - those beige ones really make a difference when it comes to it matching with the other decor items.
Owning a Brinkley Z2900, I must say there is no comparison to the fit and finish of a Brinkley. I appreciate the mid profile to mid profile comparison but this Alliance is not a luxury rv. I'm happy that all Brinkleys are luxury, from Z Air, Z and G. As with most RVs, none are perfect and there are things I will change and have changed for a better fit for us. Thanks for sharing your videos.
The comparison here is not fair to either. The Avenue series is not meant to be a "Luxury" model. That would be the Alliance Paradigm series. Brinkley doesn't make a "Mid tier" model. Yet. The comparison here would be akin to comparing a Kia Telluride SX Prestige X-Pro, which is the most expensive model they offer at $54,000 to a Lexus TX 350 that *starts* at $56,000. SUVs that fit in the same category but are vastly different in almost every other way. I understand the goal Myles is trying to reach here but, no one should evaluate either based on the comparison. If I'm shopping for a Lexus, I don't even know Kia exists. And vice versa. All that said, Brinkley makes a beautiful coach. But so does Alliance. It's all in what you're looking for. They all break at some point. Even the Lexus. :)
I was on the fence between the two, but I went with a Brinkley Z3400. It’s like you say it’s what works for you. I think you illustrated why the cost difference.
It's darn hard to compete with a Brinkley, but for the price and features I would purchase a Alliance Avenue Travel Trailer. I like the Avenue Travel Trailer better than the Fifth Wheel. That's my 2 cents for what it's worth!
I think Alliance makes a great camper. Brinkley and Alliance are #1 & #2 in my opinion. You mentioned the dry weight was 1,000# heavier than the Alliance. Also note that the GVWR is higher on the Brinkley. They both use similar materials, but Brinkley's execution is different. Also, the Brinkley frame is much thicker and heavier. They do reinforce the flanges for flex, but a tube isn't necessary unless the main frame rails flex differentially (negative and positive moment) or they need the added height. The Brinkley exterior wall and roof sealant package on the Brinkley deserves more recognition. I had a 2022 Cougar and the amount of time & money I spent resealing the exterior wall and roof was crazy. Just removing that level of maintenance alone makes the ownership experience so much better.
I have a 2018 Rockwood Geo Pro 19FB lived in it for a year in a RV resort in Florida. Had it reupholstered for full time living . Fifth wheel are high maintenance and too heavy for most vehicles. My RV is 2850 dry and can be pulled with V6 Toyota Highlander.
Brinkley all the way!!! Beats Alliance and in my book beats DRV hands down. When you showed that DRV recently i thought it was used. DRV had no attention to detail and have not kept up with the industry. Brinkley has better ceiling and floor insulation. They have water shut offs at the destination on each fixture. Almost every cupboard and drawer you opened in the DRV had dirt and sawdust in them. There were dings and chips in the trim and cupboard doors. For example look at the screw holding the laundry door handle there is a glaring chip. The hinge is a completely different metal. You could see how they missed many nail holes. It just looked sloppy. Brinkley has a wiring color coded harness. Electric waste valves. They both have double pained windows. The frame on the Brinkley i think is stronger by the way it is designed. They don't just keep adding steel and make the unit heavier. Brinkley has heat pump ACs. The pin box is much better. And the DRV had carpet in the dining room??? That is so 2000s. Brinkley has the full body shower in the bath and one piece not in DRV. I did not see any luxury except in the price. It is like, because they established a standard years ago they can kick back and relax. In this industry you have to keep up. Brinkley has jumped ahead. Dollar for dollar i would get a Brinkley in a heartbeat. DRV just seemed they had no quality control. Brinkley does complete inspections before releasing it. Alliance is catching up too. Once these companies get acquired by one of the big boys, quality goes out the window for one thing profit. Brinkley and Allience are still independent. Hope they stay that way. By the way i own none of these. Just watching the comparisons and the differences are glaring. Great videos Myles!!!
Wife and I shopped around first of the year. Did our own comparisons against the Brinkley’s and it became pretty obvious that dealers were using the demand for them to pad their margins. We ended up with a full profile Alpine. Can’t say it’s as well thought out as the Brinkley but we saved $20k and we’re very happy with it.
I had that concern when we bought our Brinkley. I knew all the benefits, but money is money. I learned you can get a great deal still, though it does depend on the dealer. I ended up buying in July when sales and cash flow are low and got 27% off MSRP in lieu of springtime or RV show time. I walked in with multiple automated internet email prices in my back pocket so I knew what others were offering without negotiating and I had my checkbook in my hand to put a deposit down. Worst case scenario was that I would've walked away and I had the email prices to fall back on.
Cable slide up front on the Alliance is a deal breaker. Also Brinkley offers a GenY hitch as an option. For those who don't want to take out the 5th wheel hitch to use the bed of their truck.
Good job you I believe you should have done the comparison using the alliance paradigm. Having owned 4 fith wheel campers and now number 5 . Our Brinkleyz3100 was destroyed by hurricane Hellene here in nc , and before I reinvested in Brinkley I looked at Alliance along with several other manufacturers. The alliance is built well but is lacking in fit and finish as well as other amenities. Your comparison was lacking information such as the slide out mechanism are the same but Brinkley is a hydrolic and ther underside of the slides are a poly carbonate not wood( 2025 models my 24 z3100 was wood) I really liked the Aiance and once you get in to their paradigm their prices still below the Brinkley’s but not far off. We did buy the z3610 in stead of the Alliance 383rk witch was priced @129000 and after a$37000discount bought the price to $93000 minus dealer fees ect ect The Brinkley z3610 at 131000 with after discount $94000 we also compared the z3610 to the mid bunk model of the Alliance with same pricing comparison.
@@timmyclancy I hear you, and this is great additional info to add for the viewers. The reason I did the comparison to the Avenue and not the Paradigm is because a Paradigm is a full size fifth wheel RV, and the Brinkley Model Z and Avenue are both mid size fifth wheel RVs. My intention was to show two RVs that are near identical in size and frame and what you get from each. Appreciate the added info about comparison points I missed. There’s a lot to talk about.
Brinkley’s ok but it’s not wide body and doesn’t have a drop frame like the paradigm. (I don’t consider the lower trim model Alliance) Construction wise Alliance and Brinkley are by and large the same quality
My Z3100 didn't cost much more than the price of the Alliance advertisement. The quality of materials and build is much better on the Brinkley. It's worth the extra money.
Brinkley by far looks like more refined and better built unit.....but you also pay for it so theres that, lol actually a big fan of the heavier weight as the build is typically better, Brinkleys customer service is supposedly incredible but still.....these are RVs and will have issues, hate to spend 30k more and still have problems even though they resolve them....suspension is where money should go to mitigate vibration and shaking, am sure thats where alot of problems stem from
I like the quality of the Brinkley, but the color scheme is horrible compared to the Alliance. I have a lot of thinking to do, as this is the size we have in mind.
In my opinion, The Alliance windows are a win to me. I love being able to have a wonderful breeze coming through. I'm actually camping now and opened all my Valor windows today. I would feel too stuffy in a unit with the fancy windows. Lol
The Brinkley windows do open, just tilt out at the bottom 6". You can have them open in light rain too. We have only had our Brinkley for 5 months and haven't been in a situation where we wanted the windows open like this yet. Looking forward to testing this after old man winter leaves.
There is NO VALUE in regard to Alliance not backing their customer the way Brinkley has their customer's back. PERIOD... The ONLY RV I care to buy is a Brinkley
@@WyckoffMode Alliance is definitely far above industry standards when it comes to their attention to customer support. Nobody is perfect, but I would be fully confident buying from Alliance. And I talk with and visit nearly every manufacturer in the U.S.

Awesome comparison video. Always get a independent inspection you will save yourself some headaches down the road. Happy New Year.
Nice Apples to Apples comparison. The only thing you missed on was that the Brinkley is not a wide-body it is on a regular 8 ft standard width unit
Yep, they were the first company to offer opposing flush floor rack and pinion slides in a standard width RV.
👏👏👏👏👍

Thanks for the detailed information. You're right, it's important to consider those extra things!
Alliance is definitely the camper that I would choose!!!!
Residential plumbing in the Brinkley for the win.
