Two years ago I looked at Willis and porter. Both places had prices so much than less than everywhere close to Houston. Now they are going for the same as Conroe.

Beautiful. We have a few good friends that live in Woodland Hills. I sold just up the road in New Waverly, and I live close enough to Willis to shop there over Conroe. The new HEB grocery store is super nice.

The fact that 300k to 400k as far out as Willis Texas is considered a starter home community is absolutely asinine. In the early 2010s my parents bought a modest 3 bed 2 bath 1490 sqft home in katy (located much closer to houston) for 95k!!! And I thought katy was far out back then!!! Now that's like living close in town

Yes! But I don’t see it ever getting any better. With the fed printing money, inflation has increased much faster than wages, slowely stealing from the American people. $300k is the new $200k I’m afraid.

Willis used to be cooler it had the Gator Race track but it got shut down when a driver hit a kid and kept driving
It’s lost the small town vibe too now it’s just people with lake houses and people with closer-to-the-lake houses
Yea, the vibe is drastically changed from when I was a kid. Some changes are good, but the building out of the town is destroying what made it beautiful....the trees and space.
Hate to burst your bubble but I've lived on Willis, Texas almost 4 years. The people of Willis not that bright the post office sucks, so does the school system, the police and I've also noticed there are a lot of crack and meth heads in willis, Texas.

The post office comment, check out Conroe, it's far worse than Willis.

@@rob409BOI Exactly right! I used to live in Willis and commute to the Greenspoint area. It was 35 miles and 1 hour each way. If you work in Katy, it's 65 miles each way. Wouldn't even consider it unless I had a job in Conroe or Huntsville or was looking for a retirement home.
