Well said DL. I can definitely understand where he's coming from, as I was born in 1970 and have seen a lot when it comes to racism and it is certainly something that is taught whether directly from parents or indirectly by seeing it in practice somewhere.
Man DL on point like a sniper. I pray those with bias and hate in their hearts, can be exposed to the truth and realize the error in their ways. The way to act blind is to look directly into the light.
I live in a suburban neighborhood in Southern California and I’m cordial with my neighbors, majority white, but I don’t invite them over for a barbecue, or swimming or anything else. When I had my pool built, one of my neighbors, made subtle remarks about how nice my pool looked and he bets the water is real refreshing. I see their kids looking out their upstairs window when my family is in the yard swimming. Do I feel bad for them,? Hell no! As a black man, I’ve had to work hard and fight many struggles to get to where I am today. The way I see it, if he and his family want to swim they can have a pool built. Like I said earlier, I’m cordial and I keep it moving.
I'm from Queens and that video is stunning... I never knew that type of hate existed in Rosedale. Lol, if you go there now. It's all about the west Indians 🎉
Exactly that whole section of Queens / Nassau is like that. Proof that things do change. It’s not 1976, those Archie bunker types are either dead or moved to Florida and voted for Trump 😂😂😂
Nah racism is more sophisticated now than ever before. At least in the 1970s people were up front about it. Now its behind close doors. For example lets say you qualify for a job, but they still wont hire you because of your skin color. They'll say we'll let you know, but never bother to call you back.
I have always said that, Floyd Mayweathers dad taught him boxing at a early age and that's all FMJ knows is boxing, teaching kids race works the same way.
Hatred is passed down from generation to generation. If you live in a hateful household, the children grow up that way. The only way to change is leave. To go somewhere else, And hopefully you're not drawn to the same type of people. I'm 60 years old and I've met some wonderful people, of all nationalities. I've also met some rude nasty people, of all nationalities. I hate to say it, it almost balances out. Do rude and nasty people; know they're rude and nasty? Yes.
3 years ago my family and I moved into an all black neighborhood in Atlantic City NJ. My best friends are my neighbors. I only wish the reverse is also coming true. We are white and am hoping for better.
"children are nothing more than mirror images of there parents" this saying is always true, because we are human. So even if we the parent change we have to ask did I change before I had my children. If not read the above statement..
Dr. King had a dream but to me today the dream seems to be "I have a dream that one day when I'm encountered by the police I will live. I have a dream that one day the police will develop integrity. I have a dream that police officers will not seem to the modern day Klan. I have a dream that one day public officials will uphold the Amendments that our forefathers fought for." That's my dream because the only thing that is different is that people have cameras.

We have to get from the bottom of society. People always treat the people at the bottom the worst in any country. The descendants of American slaves have been at the bottom from the start; hell we are at the bottom even among other black ethnic groups in America. If we unify and work on our culture to create stronger family units that teach entrepreneurship, discipline, and hard work we can rise to the top. Until we do that, we are always going to find ourselves the victim of some stronger, more organized group of people taking advantage of us.
