We did the switchpro 9100 in our 5th gen 4runner and we just mounted it vertical on the driver side fender. That if we go with a supercharger it has clearance for that.
@@Mumfy64 I do have one question tho. The red wire that is connected to the power module and is supposed to go to the battery.. I see yours going towards the firewall and not towards the battery. What am I not seeing/understanding? :( thank you in advancea
@@edgardorodriguez1314 are you referring to the SwitchPro or the breaker? In my switch pro install video I have the power for the switch pro connected to the 12 Fuse block. The only power connected to the system is connected to the breaker.
Bought this setup with the 12 panel fuse block ( which is probably overkill) last night while drinking. I told Derek I'd give you a shout out. Setup does look complicated though. I want to run 12 individual Baja S1 Leds. Hopefully this setup will make it an easy install. Looks killer.
The setup install can feel a bit daunting for sure. It took me a while before I fully understood the wiring. But its fairly straight forward. I have helped a couple people on Instagram that had questions about the setup so Im happy to help where I can. Are all of your Baja lights going to be on individual switches? Could you possibly daisy chain some of them into a single switch? Just a thought.
I've really enjoyed watching your videos lately as I get ready to add a switch panel myself and a bunch of new lighting. Pardon my ignorance I'm very new to this I thought the switch Pro could handle lights all on its own yet I see all the other items on your tray do you mind explaining why you used all of that rather than just the switch Pro by itself thank you so much and please keep creating great content
Thanks for enjoying the videos, I hope they help in your journey building your Tacoma. The Switch-Pros can handle lights on their own, but you’ll still need to ground the electrical circuit for them to work. I’ll make a video helping to explain the overall workings of having a tray setup.
@@Mumfy64 thanks Mumfy, so out of the gate to run 2 lights bars and ditch lights do I need the setup you used or just the switch pro? my lights from Heretic are on the way trying to finalize what I need under the hood, thanks in advance
The heretic lights may come with a wiring harness is you ordered it. On that wiring harness will be a relay. You won’t need that if you are using the Switch-Pros. I have an install video on the lights.
Switch-pros website states not to connect the output wires to a fuse block which subjects the wires to water and corrosion, and essentially takes their Solid State, watertight system, and makes it subject to potential water damage and unreliable connections. What is your take on this?
Looking around at how others have connected the switch-pros to a terminal block instead of butt connecting the accessories to the wires, I believe that they are covering their controller from the damage. By using the terminal block, you can replace the fork connections if a wire connection goes bad without having to cut the butt connection and shortening the wire. They also state that you shouldn't connect the power wire to an additional fuse block, and connect directly to the battery. This can cause battery drain (although Im not sure how much drain) as the Switch-Pro is therefore always on. The solid state controller should be mounted vertically so that water doesn't collect on it. That makes sense due to how the wire bundle connection plugs into the controller. That would be my main concern, I wouldn't want the pin connections corroding and having to replace the controller. Hope that helps.
@@Mumfy64 thanks man. Gonna go the same route. Just came across that on switch pros site and was concerned. Thanks for the install video and keep it up with the channel.
Ok, now I'm realizing we have the same OE power tray. Only difference is I changed my mind for SP before even installing it (actually same day I received OE panel in the mail. 😄). Now just 🙏 Derek can get me panel quick, along with Caliraised trim panel.

oh nice. that SC would be an awesome addition.
I have a Magnuson Supercharger Oil Reservoir Relocation Bracket to go along with my Mount Tray. Check it out on Instagram
You've earned my subscription. This video is by far the MOST detailed for the MT. Thank you!

It’s a 100amp breaker. If you would like the same setup I have, contact Derek on Instagram at SDOFFROADMT and he can get you squared away.

Have you thought about adding a solar panel from cascadia to the hood?
That is something I’m considering. But that will be later down the road.
Thought you were no electrican, lol nice job.
Ha ha thanks, Im still not an electrician but I can learn from others. Just happy to help pass the knowledge I gained.
Whats up Mumfy. Do you happen to have a parts list of this entire setup, for folks that want to go with a similar build?
I'll add a parts list to my Kit link in the description if you are looking to go a different route.
@@Mumfy64 If I wanted to go with this same exact build, what parts would I ask for (minus the switch pro)?
DM Derek on instagram and ask for the Mumfy 12 Fuse and Terminal Block Mount Tray if you want to get the same set up I have.

How much was this set up ?
There are different pricing for different setups. Mine was a little over $200.
