Thank you SO much - I finally got it!! I'm left-handed so it all just feels backwards and inside out. It really helps that you show the move and then repeat it; it saved me from constantly having to skip back = more focus and less frustration. You really are a fantastic instructor! Subbed and off I go to learn more knots...
It’s amazing how many boat owners don’t know the most basic knots with their lines… thank you for sharing & hopefully some will learn & keep their boats from hitting mine. 😮 Every year I go to the marina and see who parked by me & Ive shown them how to properly tie up. I explain I’m not being ignorant but helping them protect their boat and mine.
If you are securing your vessel, and the line leads down from the deck to the cleat, by taking a round turn you are creating a bind making it difficult to release under load.
never realized that the cleat hitch was such a contentious argument LOL... There is no one right way to too tie one... there are many wrong ways though...

Thank you.
When docking a +60m vessel and making off, you do your wraps after the figure of eight with your mooring lines.
I can’t master this knot for the death of me
Keep practicing. You'll get it.
Thanks for watching.
Sure you can… just take a few minutes at the dock and watch & pause video.
