Great instructional video and a voice I could listen to all day long! The Bob Ross of knots... 😏
Thanks for the comment.
Hi what size cleat and rope you using thanks
It's a 10-inch cleat, and the blue rope is 5/8. You would want a 1/2 inch line for an 8 inch cleat and a 3/8 inch line for a 6 inch cleat.
@@Thehowtochannelinc thank you
👍
No need to do it 3 times. Once is enough
I’ve watched countless videos on half Windsor and always mess it up. This video is by far the best. I get it right the first time every time. Thank you.
I'm glad it helped. Thanks for the comment.
Accidental fishing ASMR
Great video. Question: how long of a flourcarbon leader should you have? I was thinking not quite the length of rod so that when you cast, or retrieve, the knot does not enter the first eye of rod. Thoughts?
It really depends on the type of fishing you're doing, but if you can keep your fluorocarbon leader from going through your rod guides, your knot will last longer due to less abrasion. Leader length can vary from 12 inches to 20 ft depending on the situation. I prefer a 3 ft leader most of the time. Thanks for the question.
Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! I looked at the Stanley Ratchet Strap video and felt like Mort Goldman trying to understand the phrase "buy one, get one free"
Thanks for watching.
treind a million times my fluoro line just keeps slipping out idk why
I'm not sure why that's happening. Be sure you are pulling on all 4 lines when initially cinching the knot down.
I am I just think my line maybe is to small I’m tying 50 lb test braid to 15 lb floro
When there is a large difference in the diameter of the lines being used It it is important to pull extremely tight on all four lines before dropping the tag ends.
Very clear and easy to understand. Thank you.
Thank you.
Good knot tying video. Hopefully i will make it work with braided and fluorocarbon.
Thanks for the comment. It should work for you.
@@Thehowtochannelinc i just tied it and it still breaks at the knot. This is fireline, not standard braided. Not unraveling/slipping, just snapping right at the knot.
I have never had that issue, but I don't use Fireline. I did a quick search online and found a few forum posts talking about Fireline breaking at the knot as you described. It may have something to do with the line. I would try a few more wraps and wetting the line before cinching it down. Let me know if that helps. If anyone else has had this issue, please comment.
@@Thehowtochannelinc i think i need to get some regular mono for the fireline. That seems to work fine. I have used fireline direct to lure before on steelhead, and they dont seem to be bothered at all by it.
@@Thehowtochannelinc i lost a steelhead last year before i discovered what my fireline, fluorocarbon, was doing.
Perfect ty
👍Thanks for watching.
Awesome!
Thank you.
Straight to the point . Simple and slow explanation. Well done ✅
Thanks for the comment.
Can anyone tell me of the benefits of this knot? It seems like the go-to knot.
It is very secure and is easy to untie. Many secure knots jam under a heavy load.
@@Thehowtochannelinc Thank you.
Thanks for the question.
Would you tie this to both ends? I.e To the tent and to the stake? Great video btw!
I use the Tautline hitch around the stake and tie a small Bowline knot to attach it to the tent. Thanks for the question.
Thank you SO much - I finally got it!! I'm left-handed so it all just feels backwards and inside out. It really helps that you show the move and then repeat it; it saved me from constantly having to skip back = more focus and less frustration. You really are a fantastic instructor! Subbed and off I go to learn more knots...
Im glad it helped. Thank you for the kind words.
By far, the best video on how to tie a truckies hitch, thank you.
Thank you. I appreciate the feedback.
Great great great instructional video! I like that you really slow it down and I can very clearly see your hands and the line.
I'm glad it helped. Thanks for the comment.
Extremely clear tutorial. Thank you.
Thank you.
The best knot and very helpful video..thanks ✌️🤠🇲🇾

Superb. Straightforward, precise explanation & demo. Thank you. Subscribed.
Thanks for the comment.
This possibly the best video I've come across that makes the albright knot look as easy as the double uni knot
Thanks for the comment.
This knot is very good i tired many times with other vids this is the best kne thanks!!
Glad it helped. Thanks for watching.
AWESOME !! I’m a fisherman and know many knots, but all the vids I’ve seen on tying a truckies hitch’s are so complicated compared to yours. The difference between nite and day. Thank you so much ! 😊😢
I'm glad it helped. Thanks for the comment.
Perfect. I tied it on the first try and saw it in my mind too. That is how to teach.
I'm glad it helped. Thanks for watching.

Good class thanks
Thanks for watching.
Great tutorial, take it a step further and add 3 or 4 wraps in the loop as well to make the Improved albright. I find that it makes a difference when using skinny line for ultralight fishing.
Thanks for the comment.
Best Tutorial! No silly music in the background! Thank you. I was running out of beer, watching the other videos and trying to do this, but thankfully you saved me. 😂
Thanks for the comment.
😂
Couldnt get it to work rats.
Keep trying. It's a great knot.
Perfect
Thanks for the comment.

Very, Very helpful ... Thank you!!

Bravo! This is the best method, performed from the perspective of a man-overboard that's been tossed a line. This is the right-handed version. There's a left-handed version as well. A right-handed person will typically grab the line with the left hand, draw the loose end around the waist with the right and then complete the knot as shown. This is a lifesaving knot.
Yes, thank you for the comment.
This is the best and most straightforward video on using a ratchet strap that I've come across. Thank you!
Thanks for the comment, and thanks for watching.
Thanks very much great video!
Thanks for watching.
This one failed waaaaaaay to often on me. Anyone knows a good knot that can be used to tie a very thin line to a thick line? FG doesnt work very well in that cade, albright is to weak...
nice tempo, but an overhand flip bowline is much easier and faster.
Now, how to make this exact knot on 30 lb mono and not to get the line curly?
Good job. And thank you!
Thanks for the comment, and thanks for watching.
Spent fourty five minutes trying to figure out the Blood Knot. I came to this video and had the albright tied in two minutes
Thanks for the comment. I'm glad it helped.
Both are great knots...the blood knot is confusing at first, but it's solid.
Short and to the point. Thank you sir
Thanks for watching.
Great video! It makes it very clear how to tie this knot!
I'm glad it helped. Thanks for watching.
So difficult to do
With a little practice, it will become very easy. Thanks for watching.
