as someone from the middle east, i completely agree with you lol. that chicken looked dry and overcooked asl, nothing like real shawarma. and that "baklava"... girl thats just some filo pastry rolled with some sugar and pistachios. that crunch on it was so sus cuz baklava has a crunch to it, but its not like that at all lol
Having been in the Middle East and lived with the Kurds, I can tell you by looking at that, the falafel and dolma were for sure the premade open a can and thaw out, type of trash.
Falafel King, being a chain, is chain food. If you want better chain Greek, hit up Yeero Village. If you want good small-place Greek, there are a LOT of little mom & pop Greek places around town, but they all taste exactly alike.
So I've worked at 2 major Mediterranean chains and I helped open one is them. My owner told me with the pita pockets that "we are trying to take traditional Mediterranean food and Americanized it. The pita pocket is supposed to resemble a burger." And by golly after you assemble a steak kabob pita sandwich it does resemble a burger because everything is layered.
When I lived in Germany that stuff was real good, the pouch bread thing I'm guessing is a Yufka, its a type of Kebab, The baklava is generally swimming in a sugar syrup, can only eat 2 max then you wanna throw up unless you got a sweet tooth lol, also thought Shawarma came also in a wrapped Turkish type bread, but at times the meat also could come dry over there also.
Head to Nicky's Undefeated best cheesesteak I ever had with the copper cheese in Tucker Ga. They also have water ice and ice on and Garlic Parm wings and pizza and chicken cutlet sandwiches and a full bar it's actually a spots bar with tvs etc
Btw my g if you looking for some of the best restaurants soul food and bbq I got some recommendations for you I got a Yelp page and Google with places pics 📸 and 🍽 plates I can send you
Hi. Middle eastern here. At the end of the day most shawarma spots save the shawarma from that day in the fridge and reuse it the next day. Thats how it gets dry and taste old. Idk if this place did that but that could be one reason why it tasted old.
The moment they used a pita pocket instead of pita wrap (like Arby's pita) was the moment it wasn't going to be good. Pita pockets are trash, carboard, and they give horrible cramps. Lol
Med food is so delicious that did not look like real med food. if you ever go to Milwaukee there's a restaurant called Shawarma House there that'll do you right.
Sometimes when hummus has too much tahini in it, it can be too nutty and have a slightly bitter taste. I know what you mean about the hummus. It’s disappointing when the ratios are off.
Pita pockets are a thing. I could tell somw of that food was mid based on looks. I had plenty of different Mediterranean places and this looked kinda blah. Some places sell samosas
for the person who commented in the last video that Chime had nothing bad to say about the food in GA, turns out you were itchy on the trigger finger, cause Chime aint feeling this.
He wasn't feeling 2 restaurants in GA out of the ones that he visited. Let's be honest, most people want him to be negative. Of course, he is not going to like everywhere he eats at, but it looks like Metro Atlanta is getting a lot of GOATed and positive reviews compared to other cities that he went to.
If the hummus is too bitter then that means the chickpeas they used were likely canned poorly They needed to boil the stuff to get rid of the bitterness
It’s weird to see all these bad spots in atl. When I lived there I gained 20 lbs there was so many good food spots 😂 maybe I’m just easy to please. This looked a lil sus tho but ik atl got some good food and my back showed it
MID iterranean
just because the restaurant was awful doesen't mean the countries food is bad lol always with the casual hatred and trolling
@@thymos6575I’m pretty sure he was talking bout this food and not the whole country lol , gotta get out your feelings man.
He has alot of Mediterranean food reviews. He always gave a good review. And the food never looked this horrible @@thymos6575

That’s Lebanese baklava
Every time I hop on yt and see a new video from Chime, my day gets a lil better
🤷🏽♀️ what a disappointment
That Atlanta smh hit or miss
lmaoooo nobody saying anything about the double outro
‘Good Seeing You’’- Love You!!! Amazing Charm!!!
Cool- Be The Narrative-
No bueno
That’s Lebanese baklava, w pistachios and various shapes and rolls. Greek baklava is strictly squares or triangles, made w walnuts and more honey.
bro said greek baklava😂
@@alipasakoc9208 🤔🤷
Why is it so damn crunchy though. It’s not supposed to be like biting into a cookie
The difference between Greek and middle eastern baklava is in what is used to sweeten. Greeks use honey, the others use simple syrup.
The hummus ain't humming 😔
Tooo nutty is wild 😂
What he really meant is bitterness
That happens if the place use cheap canned chickpeas, which needs to be boiled again to remove the bitterness
That looks more like a hush puppy than a falafel 🤷♂️
Absolute failure… DAMN🤦🏽♂️😭😂😂
Having been in the Middle East and lived with the Kurds, I can tell you by looking at that, the falafel and dolma were for sure the premade open a can and thaw out, type of trash.
Having not done either, nor any more experience than falafel stands on the streets of New York..... Same
Bro you should have went down the street from there to Mediterranean grill on N.Decatur
was saying this to myself the whole video. mediterranean grill has been my go-to lunch spot for years. SO good.
Serving chicken shawarma without garlic sauce (the mighty Toum) is an actual sin.
Sounds like the hummus had too much tahini. Classic mistake - a little goes a long way.
Busy bees
Cajun bones
Come on hit real Atlanta

That's not even the food from my culture, but I feel offended by that "Baklava."
Feels insulting to call it that
You were at my Alma Mater! Yeah! #emoryalumna
I would’ve recommended PITA, been wearing them out for some months on my delivery route in kennesaw, and THEY can make some great Mediterranean food

If I’m eating Mediterranean, I’ll order a chicken shawarma plate w falafel, pita, and hummus on the side and make my own sandwich lol
That Falafel looks like a hushpuppy 😂
His middle-eastern/Mediterranean food reviews are usually very postive with high scores. So I do believe him when he's saying the food isn't good.
An new tactic of eating.
The moment they used a pita pocket instead of pita wrap (like Arby's pita) was the moment it wasn't going to be good. Pita pockets are trash, carboard, and they give horrible cramps. Lol
That falafel isn't green enough for me to acknowledge it as a falafel
This dude really orders 4 full meals a day 🤣🤣
Med food is so delicious that did not look like real med food. if you ever go to Milwaukee there's a restaurant called Shawarma House there that'll do you right.

Mr.Chime Time ,Have Mediterranean Restaurants and my city that I`d going try.
This is almost like the Turkish Pita they sell in Toronto.
I'm starting to think people are sending you to certain locations for you to expose the BS on a larger platform. GREAT WORK! GOOD TROUBLE!
Med food is good man, you gotta give em another chance. Try some ziki sauce, hummus and babaganoosh
All of us emory alumnus misses everybody’s pizza never the same in Emory village
Pita pockets are a thing. I could tell somw of that food was mid based on looks. I had plenty of different Mediterranean places and this looked kinda blah. Some places sell samosas
I miss when Zoes Mediterranean was a thing . They sold the company to Cavas
Visit Kings Southern Delight for the best soul food
I really held out for hope until I saw the baklava. Very disgraceful
