    These are key information that many farmers don't know. From what you've said so far, I think I'll stick with basin variety. Thanks a lot.

    I am thinking of setting up an ugu or pepper farm in imo state. I have a farm of about 4 plots and I want to start with that. Ugu is highly consumed in imo state.
    What steps can I take?

      If you must cultivate ugu now, then you have to have irrigation in place

    Hello . Great video as always. I was wondering how longnitntakes to dry the seeds hervested from the pods before they will be ready for planting. Or can one plant the seeds directly extracted from the pods immediately..? Thamks

    • @ChidavAgriculturalHub
      @ChidavAgriculturalHub  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Keep in a cool and dry place for about 2 days.
      Don’t plant immediately after extraction. You would loss more of them to decay.

    Is there a cost difference to either of the leaves? Which leaf, Calabar or Basin, sells for more?

    • @ChidavAgriculturalHub
      @ChidavAgriculturalHub  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      At the market, you can't tell the difference, if you're not so used to them.
      No cost difference, just that one would give you a longer shelf life than the other after harvest.
      Most sellers dont even know. They just say that the ugu they got from this farm is probably drying off faster than the one from the other farm.

    How do you get it to fruit when you allow them crawl on the floor?

    • @ChidavAgriculturalHub
      @ChidavAgriculturalHub  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      When you stop harvesting then and allow them to grow, then, they begin to fruit

    Please how long does it take basin or calabar to sprout

    • @ChidavAgriculturalHub
      @ChidavAgriculturalHub  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Depends on dormancy state of seed.
      From 8 to 15 days and in some cases could stay longer in the soil
