Like I said at 1:36, Dude is Dude, therefore he will win. At the end of the day, Dude achieved victory and became the first Splatoon 2 player to beat Inner Agent 3 with Mouse and Keyboard.
If the input lag wasn't an issue, I feel like mouse and keyboard has the possibility of being extremely viable. Every other shooter, both first person and third person (Call of Duty, Rainbow Six Seige, Fortnite, etc.), has far more mouse and keyboard players at a competitive level than controller.

I suppose if Nintendo wanted to make sticks more viable, they'd follow popular shooters and allow far more advanced customization to their analog settings.
Maybe set up a raspberry pi with the velocity equating to the position the digital stick is in? Then have that emulate the pro controller, which can be plugged in wired. Add on some software for custkmizing buttons, for the keyboard and any mouse buttons, and you're set. Never said it's easy tho, I can't code for shiz. Barely can make coloured div rectangles in html5, nevermind whatever C# or C++ stuff the pi and switch interfacing would need... Would be dope if someone did this tho.

Its possible to use mouse to emulate motion in Splatoon 1 through emulation. Maybe try that? The yuzu switch emu can't run Splatoon 2 well enough to be playable last I checked sadly.
It emulates it only if its programet to... If there a mouse scripted in the source code it will also work like one. 2. consoles dont use REAL mouse till today cause the loading times. maybe the m2 will change it ?

Yeah but Splatoon is just not made for it. Also in other games there isnt motion on controllers.
