      I had one too and let it go for a ridiculously low price pre eBay and internet. This was back when no one wanted analog gear. Ugh. This is the closest I can get to getting one back. Sounds amazing!

Not sure if the legendary JP8000 would be a smash like the other "clones"??? What is your impression of the QUALITY of Behringer equipment? I've had several pieces of Behringer equipment,and they appear to be engineered well,but the problem is in the physical execution of their products.Every Behringer piece of equipment I've had except for one (a T1951 tube EQ that works like a Pultec) has quit working in a short amount of time.I have an MDX2600 that gave me a Rupert Neve type sound that quit working. The same with a MDX 4600.What are your thoughts on Behringer quality? It doesn't matter how low the price of a piece of equipment is if it's going to stop working in the middle of a project.

    • @SammyBasslineBailey
      @SammyBasslineBailey 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think you're just unlucky. I've had lots of Behringer gear since the early 00's. Had to send a mixer back in 2001 for a minor fault. No sweat, they just replaced it and that mixer did me good for about 10 years. Also had loads of their rack gear - never missed a beat. Currently rocking the TD-3, RD-6, RD-8, MS-101 and the quality of the current crop of Behringer gear is very very good.

    • @TallicaMan1986
      @TallicaMan1986 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Blame apple for that. App designers literally cant touch their code for updates until apple gives them the okay. They'll probably charge Behringer to do it as well.
      The very nature of being on apples store is anti competition. They cant link any of their behringer products onto the app without shelling out 30%. They arent making any money on the app by being connected to apple. They're infact losing money to try this out. Of course they arent going to really bother updating it.

    For this kind of demo you might want to route audio and mix it from the device - eg when the gentleman is hitting the KICK button the rubber pad cuts through more than the kick drum. Great demo though, enjoyed it a lot. But why would you plan to compare the RD9 vs some software? Maybe against an actual 909 might work better?
