In Elizabethan times they used lead based makup to apear more pale causing lead poisening which made them all bald and thats why everyone ended up with wigs.

Yep, lead poisoning leads to hair loss, hence the receding hairlines.

It was part of the reason for some people, but it isn’t the overall reason why they became popular in the 16th and 17th century in Europe. It was a mixture of being more hygienic, low maintenance and practical, and then eventually becoming a status symbol

@@cerdic6305 If I recall correctly, wigs became the fashion of the day because of Louis XIV of France since he used wigs to cover up the fact he was balding.

I unironically want myself General Grievous' legs for no particular reason. It would just be cool to be able to walk on walls like him in Clone Wars 2003. Although getting side effects like in Deus Ex or Observer would be pretty bad.

And those legs can magnetize to metal flooring so you can survive a shooting in a plane and not be blown out, so there are some uses.

Im a bilateral leg amputee - if I could get properly integrated robot legs with no phantom pains and no risk of rejection I'd do it in a heartbeat. Unfortunately we are nowhere close to that yet. We've got Osseointegration but considering that leaves a permanent stoma as a potential avenue to infection I don't think that would be worth it right now.

I would quite literally let them take my friggin arm arm off and study the pain of it being taken off with me fully awake if it means I get a fully functional and completed cybernetic arm. Not bionic though not my thing and if I could id opt for the experimental parts of the completed cybernetics like the scythe arm (transforming chain gun arm) for reaper in call of duty black ops 3 i would 100% do it why dunno but hey some theorize that for human evolution we have hit the final point for natural evolution and we must take it into our own hands now weather it be a biological change or mechanical or otherwise.

It is, they got Germans to train their military before the world wars, then after ww2 they bought old German surplus (the germans didn't want to use them as it had the "nazi" style stickma to it) they still wear it to this day some had bullet holes and blood in them when they bought the uniforms from Germany in the post ww2 days, and their military parade is full Prussian style. The "Nazi" stigma thing is rife world over, the us and UK both didn't upgrade to better full head helmets (like the Germans did) as it would make their helmets look to much like the Nazi helmets.
