My wife and I ate at Nellie's when we were there last month , I'm pretty sure we sat at that exact table lol. I had the shrimp and grits and they were amazing, my wife had the catfish which was really good as well. She had never eaten it and was feeling adventurous. 😊

Hey you guys, I have missed you. That chicken with dumplings looks so good! All this does make me want to get some fried chicken when I go to Las Vegas at the end of June. I tend to go to the north end of the strip so it would be a special trip for me to make it all the way to the MGM. Thanks for trying the extras. Sweet potato and the corn, Yes!
I was surprised at how low the final bill was at a restaurant at The Grand, knowing how you ordered much more than a typical couple's dinner at a formal restaurant on the strip. It seems like there was no resort fee for such a low bill total. I mentally added a $54 resort fee and 13% and estimated over $230.
I was there last Thursday. Had the delicious Southern rolls. The fried chicken was moist and full of flavor. Mac and cheese was perfect as were the greens. Banana pudding for desert. All were perfect
Some people DON'T realize that VEGAS prices reflect the high cost of doing business there while supermarkets can charge 10 dollars for 8 pieces of fried chicken like I buy.........Sometimes they are big and juicy while often they are small and very dry and chewy.......I wouldn't buy them if I could afford something better........So Derek and Catherine, enjoy that chicken that looks so juicy and tasty.......
I'm from the South and that looks spot on! They must have a Southern mama in the kitchen!😂 Comfort food is the best. The dumplings should be thinner and not globs of dough, but I'll bet they were tasty. Love your reviews, they make me hungry though😂

Went to Nellie's in NC. It was delicious!My husband and I tried the biscuits and gravy for our appetizer which was delicious. For our entrees, my husband got a Cajun chicken dish and I got the Chicken and Waffles. I've had a lot of Chicken and Waffles in my lifetime and these were good. The waffles were a bit hard for my taste but the chicken was so moist and flavorful!

Derek always makes funny faces when he loves the food. I cant remember when he pulled a big string out of some pork. WOW!! That was scary and disgusting at the same time. Anyway, Nellies place seems pretty expensive. Glad you took home the leftovers. I saw the coffee on the menu was $12. 12 DOLLARS for a cup of coffee!!! LOL Anyway, its a good thing you take home the leftovers. I'm sure its a common thing as you check out all these pricey restaurants. Thanks for sharing. You guys are awesome!!!!
