Myself (Dan Hendriksen PGA Pro), Lester Barnes (Scratch Handicap) and Lee Whittaker (9 Handicap) have been invited to play and stay at the wonderful Manor & Ashbury Hotels near Okehampton, Devon in South West England.
With 99 holes of golf, all on one site, the Ashbury is accredited as the ninth largest golf resort in the world. No other English golf course provides a better combination of stunning scenery and exceptional challenge than the acclaimed Ashbury Golf Resort. Located in the heart of one of the most captivating areas of the Southwest, the hotel delivers spectacular views of Dartmoor across the rolling Devon countryside towards Exmoor. Our premier Kigbeare course is a 6528 yard, par 72 course which is widely considered among the most unforgettable golf experiences.
In this course vlog we will be looking to see if we can finally shoot the big 59 as a scramble event. We have been trying to shoot the 59 all year but with no joy, however we are feeling confident but will need to get off to a flying start in order to get the job done on this par 72 course.

That really is a lovely looking place! I’ve never golfed anywhere that would be considered a resort with multiple courses. Shame about those two putts bouncing out earlier. Back nine should be great!!

We've all been there when it comes to Lester's last push-putt. Me? 3-4 times just this past weekend! LOL There is a certain point where I start playing for the push on my putts!

It’s funny because we don’t notice them when on the course, it’s quite a powerful mic 🎙 so it’s picking up as much as possible

Something I noticed..There's a lot of buggy tracks on the fairways, I thought you weren't allowed to have the buggies on them? Been going to Ashbury pretty much every year for the last 5/6 years and always a fantastic experience. Great vids btw :-)
We were lucky enough to given special permission 👍
@@DanHendriksenGolf You lucky sods. Its the only courses I know of that even with a buggy, you're still knackered afterwards. The food there is also top notch. Hoping to be going back next year in June and again in September. 👍🏻

Please have your feet square to the hole Bernie. Especially on short putts. So many unnecessary muscles involved getting the face square otherwise. ❤️
Reminds me of the day I played a public course,the wind blew my cap off and was snaffled by a dog being walked nearby,he absolutely ripped it to shreds and I tried to remonstrate with the owner who clearly didn't give a toss.
I told him;"Mister I don't like your attitude ..."
He replied,"I don't care because it was your 'at 'e chewed ...".
