He was a part of the greatest and most entertaining international teams to ever exist which had Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Rivaldo, Roberto Carlos, Cafu and Kaka the 2002 Brazil squad. That team was out of control and Ronaldinho wasn't even the best player on that team cause Ronaldo was, but Ronaldinho has to be one of the most talented players dribbling in the history of Soccer
When you see Ronaldinho make fools of opposing players, you have to remember that they are top class players themselves, which shows how good he was.

You could carry the ball on your head or shoulders or literally every body part except hands and arms. It's just no one does it cause it's not very effective when you can kick the ball and run after it, way faster. And unlike basketball, when someone has the ball you can still shoulder push or try to take away the ball, so if it was just sitting on someone's head then other players would be allowed to take it off of there by pushing or heading or whatever.
And the flick over other people is not very hard on itself, but pretty hard to do well in a match situation with 4 people trying to take the ball away.

to kick the ball over defenders backwards and retain possession you literally have to be twice as fast as them because they have the advantage when it comes to positioning towards it.

Almost everything in this video is not common. This entire way of playing football has more or less died out. Many would consider Ronaldinho the most entertaining footballer of all time, as well as one of the best.
In the modern game you don’t get much chance to showboat which is what Ronaldinho is doing in a lot of these clips.
You probably see someone flick the ball over someone’s head deliberately as a skill once every few weeks.
well football advanced and tactics and defenders got better so you'd loose the ball if you try something like that now. kinda how neymar had to change his style to be more effective against stronger teams, you can showboat against palmeira or santos but not against bayern. or how mma evolves over time and moves that were once effective get neutralized and new effective moves appear.

Also the move where he kicks the ball 1 way & brings the same foot around & kicks its in the opposite direction is called the Elastico although he didn't invent it he's the person most associated with that move. There's also a different variation where instead of kicking it in the opposite direction u kick it fwd it's call Speed Elastic.
