I absolutely agree with her, first mods should be tires and sliders and just enjoy the vehicle. I did that with my 200 land cruiser and really enjoyed it. It was able to get me to cool places and I was able to pitch my tint and enjoy the outdoors.

I’m a new Taco owner (will be in Feb 2022) and I’m looking for guidance from you and the people who has been in this sport for years now on what I should do/get first. I think the build in process is by far the best way to go because it give you a better appreciation for the add-ons as you get them. We have built up a 17 4R and it's been a build over the years certainly. Nice thing it allows you to be able to explain to beginners the benefits of different mods and why certain ones need to be first.
I already bought the sliders for my T4R OR-P I’m picking up Friday 10/22/2022. I also have Baja SAE’s, black emblem overlays. I’m going to get tires after a while and also ceramic coat and tint. I agree with Jillian about the tires and sliders and driving your truck stock for a while.

Jillian, if you read these comments maybe try this. The dog hair issue you have with your rear back seat delete carpet might be tweaked a bit to reduce the snaggyness with a good coat of Plasti-Dip. Haven't actually tried it myself on carpet, but I have used Plasti-Dip for other things similar to make more water resistant, easier to clean and less snaggy. Maybe get a small square of the same carpet and give it a good coat (or three) of Plasti-Dip and then place it back there on the other carpet and see how it responds to your dog's hair. The carpet will retain it's "carpet" padding effect, and hopefully reduce it's tendency to hold dog hair.

The lightbar itself is sick, but I'll never understand the covers. Why install lights on your truck just to cover them up? Whenever you'd need to use them you have to get out and take them off. Why would anyone do that??

Damn man.. My 21' Sport 4x4 sb auto was $35,600 out the door thanks to Toytotathon. Now it's worth 45k, which is crazy to me. I was shopping 2nd gens and the dealership said "I'll take 4k off the sticker and get you into a new one for less than 36k", so I showed up to embarrass them with their lies! Drove home in a brand new Tacoma, first brand new vehicle in my life @ 37 yrs old. It has a S&B cai (marketplace for $150) and full skids, then I tuned it. Where we go from here is anyones guess, but one things certain and that is I love my truck.
Don’t you know, you can’t enjoy the outdoors without spending a100 grand? All those stories you’ve heard about climbing mountains and exploring desert canyons with just your feet and a small pack are just lies.
I like the showing of these trucks, however, take it off road. I'd rather see that instead of them all polished and clean. Show me what it can do with all that gear you invested in.
