Yes, I tried a long time ago covergirl outlast all day, but I didn’t like it because of my oily skin. But that was when I was a teenager. Now I’m 33 And i decided to try it a few months ago and I now that I know more about makeup it actually lasted longer on my skin.
This was the foundation I changed my mind on. Because I have more dry skin, initially when I wore it I hated it. After prepping my skin well it has now become one of my holy grails. Love this foundation!

Tried Fenty Foundation for the first time a couple of months ago. I love it. I guessed my color and the saleslady at Sephora tried 3 and I guessed right (for the first time). I had to let it sit because I was told the color would change within a couple of minutes and it did. I love the way it looks and wears. This ties with Lancôme for my favorites out of your 12 days. Thanks Samantha.
Fenty was actually the first foundation I found to not melt off my skin and come in a shade light enough for me, though it is pretty fast drying while I'm still applying it, it stays in place all day. I've recently tried the Maybelline superstay foundation, love it, and have been thinking of mixing the two since the Maybelline is a little dark for the winter for me but also isn't as drying so it should make a great combo.
When Fenty comes out with a hydrating foundation I will want to try that. I assume it is more matte than the Peach Perfect and I can make that work but now that it is winter I get dry with that even when I hydrate really well.
This is my current favorite. When I first tried it I hated it (I had a sample size). It oxidized terrible. I decided to retry it as it was recommended by the very helpful consultant at Sephora color match me and have me wait in the store for about 15-20 mins to make sure I had the appropriate shade. Now I absolutely love it!!!

Yay so glad you gave it another chance! This is definitely one of my favorite foundations. I’ve been using the MUFE skin tint a my every day but I wore fenty yesterday and loved how it looked. Just curious, do you know why your skin has been less oily lately? (I’m sure you mentioned it in a past video but I think I missed it!)
Katrina Uy I think an RX medicine from derm but since it’s such a personal topic I don’t think Sam likes to specify. For myself RX spironolactone (it’s a pill that decreases androgen/male hormones and helps stop hormonal acne) and differin (topical over the counter retinoid) has made the biggest difference in oil production. Oh and double cleansing!! I first cleanse with micellar water and follow with a gentle cleanser.
Love this foundation. I have to blot late in the day but wears beautifully. Also the highlighter Kilowatt is the bomb. I have a few of them from Fenty. I think you rocked it today with your fresh hair highlights and great makeup. Thanks Sam. XO

I did not like this the first two times I wore this and then never wore it again until recently. I legit just tried it last week but I mixed it with my Smashbox camera ready bb water drops and I loved it! I’m afraid to try it alone as it was too “dry” on my skin if that makes sense. I’m combo oily but lately I’m combo dry now that it’s winter so I may just wait for summer to try it by itself.

In your original Fenty foundation review, I didn't come away thinking that you didn't like the foundation, just that the color didn't match you well due to oxidation (or deepening during drying). That is why this one was not my guess for what you were going to cover today. Even though my skin is more on the dry side right now, I still want to give the Fenty foundation a try one day (with lots of moisturizer and a hydrating primer). I will probably wait until I have combo skin during the summer. I think 330 would work well for me because in Double Wear 4W2 Toasty Toffee worked well for me (even though it was a touch dark for you). That will probably be the first color I try. Nice hair!
I found it was still oily and almost patchy in addition to the colour, didn’t feel near as “secure” or flawless on my face as I feel about it now but I love it now!

I guess when you said in that review "I like this foundation", I came with that meaning it was a positive review, but I get what you are saying Samantha. You like it more now that you have a better skin tone match and your skin is less oily than before. Got it!
BurgundyandBlue1111 yah I did like it! I just didn’t love it and it wasn’t something I felt overtime I wanted to reach for in comparison to other formulas but now I’m super into it
I tried this foundation last winter i'm around the same skintone as you and the shade 300 is a perfect match for me, but i really didn't like it i have oily skin but for me i was oily like 2 hours in and it transfers a lot!!! I didn't try it again but maybe i will in the future. A foundation i changed my mind recently was the dior skin forever i didn't like it because of the shade, but when i tried it a few months later my skintone changed enough for me to like it again but it has a bad flashback so i don't use it too much... Can't wait to see the others foundations until the end!!! xo

Would you be able to give any recommendations on how to avoid foundation/concealers breaking up due to oil? I use super mattifying primers (MUFE step 1 mattifying), but have NEVER found a foundation or concealer that doesn't break up. Halp?
And that's exactly what she did, you said she may come out with another foundation and more sades and that there's always something up her sleeve and you were right. She came out with another foundation and I think I like the hydration one better. Just wished it wasn't fragrance in it. :(

I have sensitive skin and it doesn't make me break out. But in general, I think when trying a new product, a pimple or two is normal as your skin tries to adjust (didn't happen to me with fenty, but happens with other products)
No foundation should break you out at all...or were you maybe experiencing hormonal changes around the time of application? When I first used a NARS foundation I had a couple of pimples appear so I was considering returning it, but turns out it was because of that time of the month that I was breaking out. Now my skin is able to rock out that foundation!

The shade is a great match for your skin! I agree, it’s quite matte but also soft so it doesn’t look too heavy on the skin. I love how it makes my skin look airbrushed almost but not in a cakey way! It’s so long lasting for me too. I can count on it if I’ve got a long day ahead! 👏🏽🙋🏽 XX

I need some help cracking the code for the latina complexion that has olive yet neutral undertones. I bought 290 after trying 290 and 300. I felt 300 dried off to a weird shade and the 290 looked fine at the time. Then after weeks of testing, I feel like the tone is off. I tried another sample of 300 after talking to numerous Sephora artists, still feel the color is off. 310 is too orange for me, so I decided to stay off the 300s and went down to 250 LOL it is more peachy yet has a good yellow undertone. Not quite there but 250 seems to be what I'm more comgortable with. Except in some lighting I look slightly peachy. HELP!
Katiuska Nuñez I’m kind of in the same situation as you. I’m an Asian that’s not pale but not medium toned, I fall somewhere in the middle but leaning more towards fair/light. I’m an olive that’s also neutral. Some yellow toned foundations make me look either too orange/yellow or bring out the pink in my skin. Have you tried out any NARS foundations? I’ll think you’ll have better luck finding your shade there, and then move on to Fenty once you have a good picture of what the right shade for you looks like. I’m contemplating on trying out Fenty on my combination skin.

I think it's a combo of medication and skincare, and perhaps weather and age haha

Jesselyn Lim it’s on the matte but soft matte side and pretty full coverage! Closer to the NYX but softer
