- A last minute decision to go away on the weekend of the 16th & 17th of March finds us at Drayton Manor C&CC Site where we celebrate all things Ireland and the patron saint of drinkers….
Hi We're Rick, Heather & our dog Poppy and we travel the U.K in our S&L Apollo camper van “Athena”
We film the places we visit as our own diary, these videos are meant as a little memento for us but we're happy to share them with you if you want to watch.
We're just an ordinary couple in our 50's filming our adventures with basic equipment so don't expect loads of flash camera action and super editing with great music.
We also film videos of work we have done on our van as well as van reviews for our reference of the next van we might buy. Occasionally there are hints & tips videos too. We do basic site and area reviews including if they’re dog friendly but they’re a guide only based on our opinions which may or may not help you make an informed decision on if you’d like the place.
We do a mix of off grid camping, pub stopovers plus real campsites too, hopefully something for everyone to enjoy!

we like watching two people, after a good afternoon session, walking along a canal side, going back to their van for snoozummmmmzzzzzzz! I nearly spat my drink out with Heather recording you asleep with the rugby on 🤣 loved it thanks. Andy and Kim.
I could have edited it out but it proved I’m a lightweight these days 🤣
We watch you because you make us smile. No pretensions. Exactly as it says on the tin (box) 😂
We decided early on to just do “us” (with less swearing) and that would be what we did best, does it help us get loads of subscribers? Probably not but we’re ok with it. Plus it’s nice when people say “you’re just the same in real life” 🤣

I was disappointed when you went past the ducks that you didn't say "Eh up mi duck" (or is that just me that says that every time I see a duck?)
Them strange folk from the wrong side of the water say ay up duck 🤣 but I preferred my Swanny Pickering joke…. I must carry that on 👍
Swans can be so stroppy. Poor Poppy looked terrified. Nice walk from the site. Can’t beat a bit of a discount. Happy Easter both 🐇🐣

It was St Patrick that made the ruling that on the 29th of Feb the Woman can propose to the man…. and this sounds like a rule I would make..! (So long as they both loved each other) and the film “Leap Year” with a gorgeous red haired Amy Adam’s was a film about that particular rule…. ! 😍
You should do the “Heather’s made up fact of the day” slot if we ever bring it back! 🤣
If you’d walked another half mile you would have been at Hopwas with two great pubs on the canal, the Tame Otter and Red Lion.
Both dog and muddy boot friendly.

Well, I watch you guys because you go around the country to places I know nothing about. And learning about the areas' watering holes is as good a learning as any.
But yeah, you could fall in the canal at least once, just to increase the entertainment value...

The theme park? Yes hence the loads of cars coming in, the swans were very cross.
