I love the jicama tacos shells from HEB. I often use them to make a little snack wrap with some deli meat, shredded carrots, cilantro, and topped with a little sriracha mayo. Delish!
My boyfriend recommended adding tuna to my meal plan too! Try putting it with more chunked avocado (instead of mash) tomatoes, cucumbers, cilantro, shallot or any kind of your favorite onion, lemon juice, salt and pepper. It's SO good!

🍊🍊🍊 This might be a stupid question, but how did you get your tangerines like that, in those thin, round slivers? To me, simply slicing them like that would make all the juice spray out, so I can't figure it out.
+Stephanie Marie not at all!! I first slice each edge off, then I peel the tangerine as normal. Once peeled I slice them :). Taking the edges off is what helps!

I recommend HIIT workouts for weight loss instead of just a half hour walking on the treadmill...you can find tons of great ones here on TH-cam! I used to spend an hour on the treadmill or stair master but HIIT was what helped me actually lose weight
Cat for beginners, walking is just fine... I started off walking now I'm running/doing core workout..: on other days I do HIIT. I don't recommend anyone that's on the heavy side to start with HIIT. Good luck... if anyone is wondering I lost 20 LB but it took around 6 months; I wasn't on a diet at all ate whatever I wanted. I still have another 15LB to loose; completely stopped eating rice/pasta and not consuming sugar... basically on a high protein "diet", drinking 5 X 20 OZ of water daily. Good luck everyone who is striving for a healthier lifestyle.

And I usually skip the olive oil. Liz, if you like lentils, some types have the same amount of protein as a portion of meat :) My husband is from India, and we eat lentils pretty often. When I started cooking Indian food, I researched about their ingredients and spices and learned so much about their diet and the nutritional value. I'll try the app you suggested. That's great Liz! The way I usually cook (an Indian recipe :) ) is: I usually like the yellow moong dal or green moong dal (types of lentils), I cook in the pressure cooker with water (yellow- 1 whistle, green- about 10-15 whistles), then I heat up oil (I like coconut or olive), when it's hot, I add cumin seeds, turmeric powder, garam masala, coriander powder, and 1 small chopped green chilli. Then I add chopped onions and let it cook till onions are tender. Then I add smashed garlic and sometimes shredded ginger (optional). Then I add the cooked lentils, add salt, let it boil, and that's it! The consistency will be liquid but creamy, like when we cook beans. There are many ways cook lentils, but I like this recipe. :)

I noticed you like using sauces on your food. Try to limit or better x out the commercial sauces and make your own. They tend to have too much sugar and preservatives. Also have you tried eating six mini meals. I did and I noticed my body burns calories fast plus I do stay active as well. Good luck on your weight loss.
