I hope you wouldn't have payed the shop at all. If you did, you paid the shop to paint your car a specific color and they messed it up. Make them repaint it and take the hit for it, you're supposed to get what you pay for- not something entirely different. Absolutely would not fly with me.

I got my entire bugeye repainted last year and everything little thing I told them to do they had it in full detail on the invoice. Even though it didn’t turn out the way you guys envisioned, it’s still a clean a$$ bug and I’m psyched to see future content on this one.

i know you guys are very young but you guys should think about finding a house for everyone and it should be nearby auto shops and everything so you don’t drive so far for outcomes like this idk just a thought for the future

Even though the side skirts and flares were cut will they even be able to be molded together right? Whichever body shop you went to you should ask for a partial refund. Have them pay to have it done right. If you guys have a written agreement you should sue. EDIT: Video addressed it. ;)
Honestly, you guys did an amazing job staying calm & very professional throughout this video, it really shows what kind of good people you guys are. That said, I would talk with who did the work and try on getting things sorted out. I love the black (my fav color on a subie)... but there is no excuse with the quality of work that was done to the Bugeye :( I feel for Diego, but there’s always light at the end of the tunnel! Bro's don't accept that crappy work. The wrong color alone is enough to merit a partial refund. You guys paid for work to be done, call the shop tellem what you told us and if they dont compensate, threaten to take them to small caims court. even if its an empty threat, I'm sure it'll make them worry a bit.so wierd im pissed off now, thinking these guys ripped you off..
Agreed. I'm 35, when I was their age I would have let them smooth talk me so they could get away with it. They will harden up in age. It's totally wrong and they should repaint the car bronze again or give half off or take them to court.

The paint doesn't seem even all the way through either. the trunk looks more faded than the rest. Just don't ever pay for something you didn't ask for. Thats "part of the car" none the less. I work for a bodyshop and something like this would never be delivered to a customer. You have all rights to get the color fixed and all the issues. I don’t know about you guys but we charge extra to change colors so it’s a must that we deliver the way the customer describe
The black isn't bad. But that bronze colour was a better choice. Black tends to hide the body lines and the bugeye has great body lines. Could you attempt to get back some of your money though?

Man they did sloppy work, all the compound in the body lines. Send this video over to the shop who painted the car.. they will make it right.. or TH-cam will test them apart
I for one wouldnt have paid and i would have filed civil charges to have the damaged items replaced. Look like maybe the car you saw in the original picture was done by a different shop.
