2024 Hurricane Forecast: 23 named storms predicted, active season likely - NBC 15 WPMI

It's likely to be a very active season. The forecast calls for 23 named storms, 11 of those becoming hurricanes and five of those becoming major hurricanes (category 3 or higher). In an average year, we expect 14 named storms, seven hurricanes, and three major hurricanes.

Soo a state in the middle of the country that never has been hit by a hurricane predicts hurricanes. Every year they “predict” more and more. It’s to the point that is a fart stirs up dirt they want to name it.
Some of the so called hurricanes in Florida wernt nothing more than severe thunder storms 😅

Here we go with more hype and hysteria. Can't even predict the weather for tomorrow let alone the whole dang summer. Only job on earth where you only have to be right 5% of the time.
Weather people can’t tell me if it’s going to rain this afternoon. Yet want me to believe they can tell if a hurricane will come. Hell I’m better off playing the lottery.
