I created a NMLS account, I wanted to get started on scheduling fingerprints/background check while I work on education hours via Mortgage Educators as the video suggests, however the NMLS system will not allow me to submit application until I have completed my hours and passed the exam. Am I missing something, or did they change the system? Thank you.

Will simple misdemeanors get someone denied ?

That depends. If that misdemeanor involved fraud, theft, money laundering, then absolutely denied. If it's speeding ticket or jaywalking, that shouldn't be an issue. In every state, the regulators are looking to see that you will have the confidence of your community and operate honestly and fairly in the best interest of the consumer. Whatever it was, don't hide it when filling out the license application. That would lying and not inspire confidence. The state regulator you're interested in would answer that question directly.

Tina, we just gotta know. Have you scheduled your 20-hour Pre-Licensing?!
