Hersheypark was my favorite theme park when I was a kid, and I think it was because of the number of family rides that were there at the time--I was coaster-phobic. The only coaster I rode then was Trailblazer, and that only once. I went once as an adult about a decade ago and couldn't do a lot of coastering because I had a small child with me, but I did get to experience Fahrenheit and sooperdooperLooper. Fahrenheit is fantastic--the only problem with it is its low capacity, which makes for rough lines. It's interesting to see Intamin do their take on a Eurofighter/Infinity-style coaster. I particularly liked the corkscrews near the end. sooperdooperLooper fascinated me because I remembered seeing it when it was new and being terrified by it. You could describe it as a Mine Train with one punchy Schwarzkopf loop right at the beginning--by modern standards, not a super-thrilling ride. But I liked finally getting to ride it and it was the first time I'd ridden an inversion without over-the-shoulder restraints (that was a rarer thing then than it is now). The setting and visuals are nice. It's kind of crazy how many rides are tangled together in that part of the park--even back in the 70s, sooperdooperLooper had an exciting interaction with the Coal Cracker flume. Trailblazer is short and tame as Arrow Mine Trains go, there's not much to it, but since it's my first roller coaster, I have some sentimental attachment to it. I did make sure to ride it again with my family on that visit--my daughter was about 5 and she was grinning the whole way. It wasn't her first coaster but I do think it was the first that had an extended layout with a lift hill. My wife, who is very much not a coaster enthusiast, describes Trailblazer as about the level of ride she's comfortable with. I think what Hersheypark needs now is not another coaster but some kind of transportation ride to bring people to the back of the park and even out the traffic flow. The monorail and the steam train don't really take you anywhere and, while fun, are no help at all. When the layout was much smaller than it is now, they had a Von Roll gondola skyride (much bigger than the little chair-lift one that is still there) that went from the front of the park to what was then the back, near Coal Cracker. They should revive that and turn it into a triangle, with the third corner in the Midway America area or near the waterpark. It'd make it much easier to get around.
Rush just wants you coming back for more. No other coaster has "enhanceable elements." Those restraints are so damn free. You can enhance an element, improve an element, or counteract a lat within an element by moving the body. It's hella fascinating.
New restraints were still uncomfortable (I didn’t try Skyrush with the old restraints). To me, it’s not some crazy insane thrilling type of ride, it’s just rough and uncomfortable. The low banked turns are fun tho
I road the Wildcat the first time in 2021, which after, I referred to it as "The Chiropractor". Well I'm back and saw the updated Wildcats Revenge. Was skeptical til I saw the Best Coaster 2023 sign. Had to try it and holy crap it did not disappoint! Never have I rode a rollercoaster like this! It was amazing!
I went to the park for the first time the summer Great Bear opened. I remember everything was themed to Great Bear, like the brochures, signage, etc. I was 13 and was so impressed with the park back then, and half of this list wasn’t even there! 😂 I wish they had been though. I went on Wildcat well before the RMC treatment, and I can recall being shocked at how rough it was back even then.
My List It Isn't Really Unique At All I Would Say My Most Unique Ranking Is Jolly Rancher Remix Under Superdooperlooper Oops Spoilers 14 Wild Mouse 13 Cocoa Cruiser 12 Trailblazer 11 Jolly Rancher Remix 10 Superdooperlooper 9 Laff Track 8 Comet 7 Lightning Racer 6 Great Bear 5 Fahrenheit 4 Storm Runner 3 Candymonium 2 Wildcat's Revenge 1 Skyrush
The most triggering part about lightning racer is when people put comet above it on their list. Comet is very basic and has a slow back half. Lightning racer is a lot more modern and fun
Honestly I'm suprised you put skyrush over wildcats revenge because when I went last weekend and rode skyrush front row, I didn't really get any forces now that could be because it was early in the morning but it just overall didn't have much bite to it, but I had a great first ride on wildcats revenge and it blew me away, it's definitely up there with other RMC's I've been on like Twisted timbers or Lightning rod.
The top 6 are quite extraordinary. Even on busy days, there is usually a short line on one or more of Skyrush, Stormrunner, or Great Bear. Fahrenheit used to be my favorite after my first rides were super smooth, but later rides have been shakier. It seems like it varies a lot.
@@EUh-i2z I just find Skyrush a bit too rough. Will eventually get a reride next year on the middle seats to see if it makes it better. Also, just got a reride on Great Bear, in the rain, and I would rate that a 9/10. Crazy intense. Still wouldn’t change my overall ranking though because that definitely isn’t common. Edit: forgot to mention the fact that lightning racer is now a 3/10. It’s gotten crazy rough from when I rode it in June. It really needs some new track or something.
I love Hershey park, maybe even more than great adventure. It has a lot of thrill factor, but also has insane charm, and a clean appearance. Probably one of the only parks I’ll go on a “tour ride” (the candy one) because it’s so nostalgic
I haven't been to Hersheypark in probably about 12 years, but during that trip, Skyrush was my favorite coaster, followed by Lightning Racer. I didn't get to go on Storm Runner and Fahrenheit really jacked up my back, leaving me with the feeling of doing too much in too small of a space/time. The original Wildcat was still operating and it was ROUGH, leading me to never want to ride it again.
I agree with most of this list. I think I was one of the only people that really liked the original Wild cat but Wild cats revenge is amazing! One of the best coasters I've ridden. I however do not enjoy Skyrush, while the updated restraints are much better, I find it rough and I just don't enjoy it. I 100% agree that Lightning Racer is underrated, it's been a favorite of mine since it was built.
I am very lucky to have this park as one of my home parks along with Dorney and SFGAdv! Skyrush is definitely my favorite as well but Wildcat's Revenge is a close #2 and an incredible addition to their lineup
Ok so if you rode sky rush then you rode my 2fav ride the only thing is here’s a lil story So one time me my brother and sister wanted to go on I’m the youngest child so ofc I was scared so I went on it and I kinda liked it But then the next time I went on it I got my elbow stuck ON THE RIDE on the bottom left I got my left elbow stuck and right when he said all clear is when I got my arm stuck on the chain lift I never forgot
i love jolly rancher remix but the tunnel does not smell like jolly ranchers and i was really excited for that only to find that it smells like.. chemicals?
Bro wild mouse is goated because when I rode it it was a lot of fun and you can't rate something like wild mouse to candimonium tbh but hey, that's just my opinion

Well done👏🏻And here’s my rankings after my recent trip no kiddie coasters : 1. Skyrush-Duh I can go on and on over how much I adore this ride. The drop, speed, wicked ejector airtime, color theme, restraints, and my poor dad having been used to airplanes all of his life his response after it was, “Violent!” Hopefully in the coming years a roller coaster can beat this one for me. 2. Wildcat’s Revenge- Riding this in the dark was absolutely crazy, RMC outdid themselves with the remake of this wooden roller coaster. 3. Fahrenheit- That 90 degree drop is classic, love the color scheme, and inversions. This is one of my all time favorite Intamins. 4. Great Bear- This was the first B&M invert I ever rode. Love the vertical loop and other inversions. 5. Comet- My first time on this woodie as Wildcat and Lightning Racer were my favorites before. Smooth, fun woodie and love the bunny hills. 6. Laff Trak- This came as a pleasant surprise. It’s a family coaster, but really enjoyed spinning around in the dark. I’m sure it’s fun with the lights on. 7. Jolly Rancher Remix- Of course a long time ago I was terrified on this Vekoma boomerang and it made me love roller coasters, but there’s just better ones at the park. New theming is cute with the lights and Jolly Rancher candy pieces. Please ride it on a return trip for the millionth time please 😂 8. SooperDooperLooper- A tame family coaster with one loop, good introduction to the thrill of roller coasters 9. Lightining Racer- This used to be my favorite woodie at the park and I loved the dueling aspect, but it was kinda disappointing during the latter half of the ride. The first half is solid, it’s smooth, but after that tunnel, you can feel the jankyness. 10. Storm Runner- I do love launch coasters, but this one is a little too intense for my liking. Going up the top hat is absolutely terrifying to me, but then the ride starts to get a bit more bearable with the inversions. Sadly missed out on Candymonium due to some high winds☹️
@@CoasterDash Thanks, you’re a great teacher😊🎢 I couldn’t differentiate between manufacturers a year ago and was probably still on the upper cusp of GP
Putting sooperdooperlooper ahead of lightning racer is criminal. I highly recommend getting another ride on it in the back row. I swear it isn’t that bad!
@@coyotegames156 I loved Lighting Racer when I was younger, however it just rode jankily the last time I rode it. You could feel going over metal pointy pieces in the track and it was just a bummer compared to every ride in the past I had. But I am down for a reride and will take your advice. To be fair sooperdooperLooper is my only Schwarzkopf credit so that’s another reason it’s slightly ranked higher.
Really love Hershey, but I do think Lightning Racer is getting very rough and that could have something to do with the short lines. Talon at Dorney is better than Great Bear in my opinion.
you are right about super dooper looper being peoples first upside down coaster, it was mine as well and sadly comet wont provide the airtime it used to it got new trains that dont have buzz bars Edit: Candymonium opened in 2021 not 2020 Covid happened in 2020 nothing was open💀
Just went to Hersey. Have to say, I was blown away by wildcats revenge…. Amazing. I also loved sky rush. Particularly the restraints… I LOVE the lap bar type restraints. They feel super comfortable and I feel super free (I know that’s not what everyone wants on a roller coaster). It reminds me of my favorite roller coaster of all time, Velocicoaster. (Yes Ik they both intamen)
When i was there most recently skyrush had the longest wait by far in the park with close to 2 hours they where for some reason only running one train on it i guess they where not expecting it to be a busy day or smth but it was a very busy day and i didn't get a chance to ride it on both of my trips it was raining the first tims and thid the second although stoem runner was great we where in a rush to go in to all of the rides and get out so waiting 2+ hours for skyrush was nlt an option
Are you sure that was the actual wait time? I went on a Friday, and the app gave it a 90 minute wait time. I went to go ride it, and it was only a 20 minute wait time.
I only rode Fahrenheit once, but that one ride was one of the roughest coaster experiences I have had. I probably got a bad ride though, and am eager to try it again at some point.
@@elizabethnicole2455 Problem is, the first drop on Fahrenheit is one of my favorite elements on any coaster, and is way better than Skyrush's first drop (haven't ridden Wildcat's revenge or Skyrush with the new restraints).
Definitely ride it again. I rode it in the back row, and the only rattle/ shaking was the middle of the cobra roll (the part after the drop and “loop”). The rattle/ shaking wasn’t rough though either. Just noticeable
Thank you for watching! 🎢

Fantastic list!
@@morganmcmahon3021 fair enough
First lol. Great video!
Really love Hershey, but I do think Lightning Racer is getting very rough and that could have something to do with the short lines. Talon at Dorney is better than Great Bear in my opinion.
Sixth comment
Hiii you’re my fave coaster channel 💖
Thank you 😊
My first ever roller coaster with inversions is the Vekoma boomerang coaster in Six Flags St. Louis and I loved it
lightning racer used to have a long line back in the day😂 like every train was full no single riders ect, it was always a timee
Hershey
The scent on jolly rancher remix made my lungs feel weird and gave me a headache
thanks for this video bossman, i enjoyed watching it. i learned alot from it for our trip.
No problem! Glad to hear that 🤙🏻
Great video again, i agree with most of your list.. I'd switch 3 and 2
Trailblazer has the honor of being the first roller coaster i've ever ridden. I was 7.
This is dope, I agree with basically every single one of these rankings! Great video as always!!
you are right about super dooper looper being peoples first upside down coaster, it was mine as well and sadly comet wont provide the airtime it used to it got new trains that dont have buzz bars
Edit: Candymonium opened in 2021 not 2020 Covid happened in 2020 nothing was open💀
Hersheypark reopened to the public in August, 2020 and Candymonium opened with it.
Skyrush at 1 is a crime
Yeah I know it should be 1# in the state 💀
Yea I can agree with 4 but 1?????
Great list! Comet is my #1. I have ridden probably 150 times.
Wow, nice!
Absolutely Outstanding
Liked this video
When i was there most recently skyrush had the longest wait by far in the park with close to 2 hours they where for some reason only running one train on it i guess they where not expecting it to be a busy day or smth but it was a very busy day and i didn't get a chance to ride it on both of my trips it was raining the first tims and thid the second although stoem runner was great we where in a rush to go in to all of the rides and get out so waiting 2+ hours for skyrush was nlt an option
It’s been getting looooong wait times this season because it’s only been operating with one train at a time :(
Are you sure that was the actual wait time? I went on a Friday, and the app gave it a 90 minute wait time. I went to go ride it, and it was only a 20 minute wait time.
@@coyotegames156 they where dispatching trains once every like 10 minutes
@0010plays yeah that just sucks then. I went on the 16th and they weren’t doing that, so hopefully next time you go you’ll be able to get a ride
I only rode Fahrenheit once, but that one ride was one of the roughest coaster experiences I have had. I probably got a bad ride though, and am eager to try it again at some point.
That’s so odd, but you aren’t the only person i’ve heard who has had a rough ride.
i thought it was really smooth, weird
You have to sit towards the front. That thing rattles like crazy
