I love how you have decorated your living room. You actually inspired me to get sheer white curtains in an older video, and I love them! My living room is also dark green too :)
I read I Who Have Never Known Men earlier this year and it will definitely be making my Top Reads of the Year list! Call Me by Your Name is also an all time favourite, and Demon Copperhead was a top read for me last year so you've got some great reads in your future!
I've only recently heard about I Who Have Never Know Men but I'm so intrigued too! So funny how some older books resurface later and gain popularity! Quite excited to see it happening with a French book, it feels like it doesn't happen often 😃 (I'm obviously biased, being French myself)
Okay, so like always you look fab! Love this haul and those antiques are so pretty, they definitely fit your vibe. sending you so much good energy to feel better. Prioritize rest!
Awww thank you!!! 🥰 And I indeed am, luckily a lot of my Covid infection symptoms have gone now, but I’m still testing positive so I’m prioritising rest for sure! 💕
I adored the film of Of Beale Street Could Talk. I haven't yet read the book. Sounds a bit similar to An American Marriage by Tayari Jones, which I also loved. Call me by your name - book is brilliant, film is unforgettable. Cherry sounds intense!! Cool to browse a book shop and buy things you've never heard of. Love the antique pieces and also your grandmother in law's drawing! Xx
Omg it’s a film? How did I not know this?! Oooh An American marriage is also on my TBR as well. Yeah definitely, it’s nice to just see what jumps out. ☺️ Aww thank you ✨ I hope you’re doing okay xx
I love James Baldwin! I wrote my MA thesis on Giovanni's Room, not the book but the LGBTQ bookstore in Philadelphia named after it. It is the longest running LGBTQ bookstore in the US (and possibly the world) and has such a wonderful community history attached to it. I was there a few weeks ago during Philly Pride and it was amazing to see the store still so busy 51 years after its founding. It has connections with Gay's the Word in London too so if you're ever about in the city, it would be a great place to check out! Loving your videos as always, this one has put me in the summer mood! Thanks for sharing your bookstore adventures with us!
I’m currently reading Demon Copperhead and just wanted to let you know that the narrative style translates really well into an audiobook too if you want to give it a try. Makes the bulky book a bit less intimidating haha 😊
Ahh thank you so much! Wow, I just looked up that book, sounds very intense and emotional. I’m glad you’re enjoying it though ☺️ And yes, thankfully I’m all good now, thank you! 🙏🏾
I read I Who Have Never Known Men last month… it is BRILLIANT. It is one of those books that will stay with me forever. Hope that you enjoy it 😊 and hope that you’re well lovely x
Ohhhh gosh!!! I’m so glad you enjoyed it, I must get around to reading it soon as I’ve been on the hunt for a true knock out 5 ⭐️book this year. Thanks Michelle, all good here! Apart from another stint with Covid, thankfully I’m all recovered and feeling much better! I hope you’re doing okay! Not long now until schools out for summer 😂☀️ x

Ahhhhh no way?! I love that so much! 🥰
It’s such a cosy and dark colour for a living space isn’t it

@@NickellesNook I wouldn’t say it’s an ‘enjoyable’ read, but I will probably keep thinking about it for the rest of my life ❤️
Unfortunately I found I who have never known men a little disappointing:( looking forward to your opinion on it!
Ohh nooo! That’s a shame!
Hopefully I can get round to it soon and share my thoughts ❤️
I was so disappointed with Find Me, the sequel to Call Me By Your Name. Elio and Oliver were hardly in it
Oh I really enjoyed it! Maybe because I didn’t read the first one and only watched the film? X
Oh noo that’s disappointing to hear!!
Call me by your name is great! The sequel is horrible!
