I've been feeling rather grumpy lately as January isn't my fave month out of the year, so I thought I would cheer myself up with a bit of book-shopping therapy. 📚📖

I have a January birthday but as someone who lives in a similar climate (the Pacific Northwest in the US) I am not offended in the least by your hatred of the month! We get a minute more of daylight per day from Dec 22st onward so that is my mantra until end of Feb when we finally have some daylight past 5:00 pm 😅

Congratulations on your girlfriend/boyfriend anniversary. When I was planning my wedding I noticed that our girlfriend/boyfriend anniversary was one of the dates offered, so I chose it specifically so our anniversary would stay the same. This year we'll be celebrating 21 years of marriage and 29 years together on 8 May. Oh, and I totally agree about January and February. Horrible.

The Ali Hazelwood one sounds kind of like the straight version of Heels Over Head by Elyse Springer. It’s about two swimmers who are olympics bound. It’s good, definitely recommend 🙂

Did you ever read Cherry by Nico Walker? I remember you buying it but don't think I've seen you mention it. I read it on audiobook & enjoyed it but suspect it might be a bit marmite!
