It'd be cool to have a heating element 12" directly over the vacuum that heats the plastic from above. The vacuum could be supported by 4 ⅛" steel rods, 1 at each corner, that doubles as a slider track that is always perfectly centered from start to finish. I'm sure there's a few more steps involved, just throwing ideas out there for someone..
For the plastic you can also use 250 micron binding covers I'd think. I was experimenting with them to see if they are heat resistant and they are not, they can be moulded with heat....:) and they can be pretty cheap if you can't get OHP
Do normal upright household vacuums have Enough power to pull like this? I built one and am having issues getting the plastic to meet the edge of the form and the hole base. For some reason I have better results with thicker plastic. Does my vac just suck?
Thanks. Iam. From Indonesia
I used a wooden cigar box to build mine. Worked great.
Well I'll be doing this in about 5 mins lmao wish me luck!
Amazing. Well done. That will be on my wish list of things to build
Thank you.
Good Instructions. I would look into using Pegboard Sheet material for larger size tables?
It can be used, but the vacuum system must be considered to be appropriate for the size.

Where to get this pvc? thanks for this video, it's amazing!
I would like to suggest you to search by this word "Thermoplastic for vacuum forming" and you will find it for sure.
@@MrProjectTSE Thank you!

i just tried using OHP.. and it can't be used. So rigid.

Is the hole pattern on the base important? I just drilled a ton of holes randomly
1.Power of vacuums must match the form's size.
2.Vacuum at a Form must not leak.
3.The hole pattern on the base important and must uniform.
What is the material that you used to make the frame that held the plastic? The brown piece?
Gracias por tu aporte, me ayudas mucho a comprender está técnica industrial
Question: I have seen other videos and would like to know if several holes or one hole in center is the best for the vacuum?
There are many factors such as the size or shape of object and the size of vacuum pump.
@@MrProjectTSE I have a whole egg puck approximately 12"x6" on a 14"x14" table.
How many gallons is your vacumm cleaner?
No information. It is a small device used in cars.
The vacuum
Form
Machine is so
Cool in rc and diecast car bodies in small forms in my opinion in two scales I like 1/64 and 1/24 scales
I have a question can any plastic relate material Will do ? Like Book plastic covers and Plastic bag Will worked for my homemade vaccum forming?

After watching this, I'm ready to build my own space ship, but first need to D-load that sound trac
You have a nail gun but hole saw ?
This is amazing
Great video. What size were the holes you drilled?
depend on your frame but in this clip, I use 4mm.
Awesome. Nice and simple :)
Does clear PETG turn white when over heated?
I think that PETG can not use.
Of course you can use PETG plastic as it’s the most commonly used in vac forming.
Make the holes very tiny, to avoid leaving marks on the pvc
Good video thanks. I think you should put your vacuum tip center. It will be increase quality I guess
Thank you friend.
nice work , i have some issues and i need your help , when the pvc sheet is heated it turn from transparent to white , why ?
Great idea.
Hi cool video, what kind of plastic did you use? Also it would have been very nice if you showed the plastic mold without the Dc motor in. Thanks
If small objects you can use Overhead Projector Sheet,Poleyestor or PVC.
Where do you get those sheets?
It is the plastic that expands when increasing temperature.
@@MrProjectTSE no shit, Sherlock holmes.

@@billygate4063 Oh no, has Google broken again?
It is great to make one, but it is too difficult for me and the mold is not accurate enough. I will buy one from Amazon
The mold is as accurate as your buck.
Genial

It's cool but too small. I bought a larger desktop version from Amazon
Lot of wasted material.
