    What a humble man, K. Sivan sir! GSLV Cryogenic engine is his baby. From last 3 yrs he was trying with little luck. Today he proved that there is no alternative to sheer hard work! Kudos Team ISRO!!!

    I love you Doordarshan. I live in US but one day I want my kids to work for ISRO. Dr Radhakrishnan MUST be given Padmabhushan or Padmavibhushan. He has made our country proud with MOM and now GSLV. And yes I want to especially thank my beloved Lord Venkateshwara for lending his power to our scientists and country.

    Wow, that vehicle certainly looks very complex. Well done ISRO. We can feel the tension on the face of ISRO's boss Dr. Radhakrishnan and the launch director Dr.Shivan. Congrats and well done ISRO.....Jaihind..............Nagpur, Maharashtra.

    Indigenous Cryogenic Engine is just awesome and excellent achievement. What it means :-
    1) We can lift upto 5 tons of stuff in space.
    2) We can lift Humans and space-crafts as and when we want.
    3)One last thing to master is the safe re-entry to earth and that's it we will be among the top countries.
    4) We can even lift a heavy inter-planetary telescope like Hubble etc when ever we are ready.
    This engine was very very much needed.
    Thank you ISRO .. Proud to be an India.

    Congratulations ISRO.
    This is a really special achievement,considering the US sanctions and even active blocking of India's attempts to acquire cryo-tech.
    In an way,US actions served as a disguised blessing,as it enabled us to develop our own technology.
    We should remember this in our fight with the US in the Indian diplomat matter and not buckle down.
    Even if they take action against us,with will and pride,we can turn an adversity into a blessing.

    At 43:33, that's a true sense of achievement in product design & development. The satisfaction that you get when you design, develop and test a piece of hardware to make it flight worthy, and finally see it perform. I sincerely hope that scenes like these do not become a rarity in the near future as our current generation of engineers seems to be content in writing some shoe-string software for client's abroad who seem content in calling them just "cheap" !!

    Saturn V had cryogenic Engines i.e. in sixties... when the most powerful computer was 10000 times slower than a cell phone material science was primitive. India starts developing cryogenic engine in 1992 takes 20 years to succeed. OK but we need not go overboard on this. Mangalyan was truly awesome. ..

    • @MrXperx
      @MrXperx 11 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      Please take your bull somewhere else. So what the US had cryogenic engines in the 60s? Does that make this achievement any less?

    • @ekthaKC
      @ekthaKC 11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      MrXperx he is making sense and that is the right kind of bull.. to be posted on this video.This is a small and important step which is commendable, but not as much of a huge deal as hyped.We are still faaar faaar behind in space race. countries like sweden or japan can build nukes or cryo engines in 3-4 years if they really want to, don't know what india wants to prove with this...anyway good for our airforce and satellite networks only if futher development takes place fast.

      USA got independence in 1770s with 3 times more land and 20 times less population. and 100 times less diversity and problems like that of India.
      I think you failed to mention that?

    Some of the negative comments I see make me laugh - no doubt these idiots know nothing about space or rocket technology but spend their time on Wiki and post dumb ass comments. This is a fantastic achievement by India and far more important than the Mars mission. It gives India the capability for manned space flight and the ability to build bigger and more powerful rockets.

    40:15 to 40:34 hear what he said big drawback of isro strap on still keep on carrying the solid stage even though it has burn out (it weigh about empty30 tonnes) this can only happen in india
