Just sharing general information on LED replacements. I tried to keep it simple, and not too technical, but still valuable info. Bulb chosen: DAYWALKER H4 LED 1:1 design
I realize this video was posted a year ago, but for someone just watching you should never touch the glass on a halogen bulb or the LEDs on a LED bulb. The oils from your hands can cause a hot spot and burn out the bulb prematurely. If you touch the glass on a halogen bulb you should clean it with alcohol. I don't know if you are aware of that because I noticed you were touching the bulbs. Just a friendly tip if you are not aware.
You’re absolutely correct on that. I never thought to mention it, since I was very focused and detailed about how & why I chose that particular bulb. That is indeed a practice I preach to the “youngbloods” I work with in aviation. It will absolutely cause premature failure of the bulb. 👍🏼 Good catch, and good point!
There were no overheating issues. Overall, I was happy with the results of this particular bulb, and would recommend it to others. The technology is always improving, so I’m sure there are others bulbs that are either cheaper, and/or better. I hoped to explain certain aspects of LED bulbs to look for. It was hard to condense the information any more than I did in this video, and I hope it helped a little.

I just watched the video it's 2yrs old, how long did it last? Thinking of getting it for my shadow.
It lasted until we sold the bike… couple years at that point.
