The Alpharetta Department of Public Safety has released dashcam video of a high speed pursuit that occurred in the early morning hours of Sunday, November 12, 2017.
The chase begins on GA-400 Southbound near Mansell Road in Alpharetta, when a patrol car spots a McLaren 720S passing by at a high rate of speed. The officer tails the suspect, who then begins to increase his speed, forcing the officer to activate her emergency equipment. The chase continues at speeds reportedly in excess of 150 MPH. The officer's V6 police cruiser can hardly keep up with the 700+ HP supercar. The suspect finally pulls over, just past the Northridge Road exit in Sandy Springs.
Then, according to police, the driver’s eyes appeared to be glassy and he had a strong smell of alcohol on his breath.
After failing a field sobriety test, the driver was arrested and taken to jail with charges that include DUI, speeding, and driving with an expired tag.

I wouldn't assume anything like that. There would be more of a chance of an average person crashing at that speed. You can easily oversteer a Mclaren 750s.

EuroSpeed what toll plaza? We don't have that anymore and by the looks of the video he seemed to be traveling north away from 285. Had he been sober he probably would've gotten away with ease but I saw the video of the sobriety test and he struggled miserably. So either he was too far intoxicated or his conscience got the best of him.

You are half right, the Dubai police do not use them for chasing people in high speed pursuits. However, they are not just for show either, they actually do use them for police work as well. They usually patrol in tourist areas and highways, and they can pull you over with those cars if you were caught speeding. It's the same thing with the Italian Lamborghini police cars.

I just got pulled over in Georgia last Sunday for doing 120 on the hwy but he let me go because I was going to an emergency and just told me to try and drive at a safe speed. Second time that's happened to me. My friends always called me lucky Mexican because I'm that lucky with cops. I'm pretty much the Ricky of trailer park boys when it comes to cops.

I believe the 720s is more than capable of above 220 mph speeds so there's no reason for the cops to catch him

But these days, insurance companies, points on your license, even just the temperament of some officers, and laws about 30 over making it mandatory for court, make it not fun at all anymore. A good ass chewing from an officer used to do it, but now a days, a ticket with its baggage of fees, is just too damn expensive at that speed...

james McDonald I was, my wife wasn't. She was getting attacked by some guys in downtown Savannah while I was on the phone. The cop heard everything that was going on and realize it was an emergency. People she thought were family left her there with no car while she was drunk and had no money on her at that time. I'm from florida so calling the cops while I'm driving was a task and wasn't sure how to get a hold of savannah police. She got lucky and some people that worked at the bars downtown saved her and helped to keep an eye on her. I thought she was going to get raped while I was on the phone, I never want to go threw that again.

I can tell you that cop flew up on my ass like I wasn't moving. Lucky he let me go because I was headed to an emergency in Savannah from out of state. In Florida on the other hand they will just call ahead and get you at any exit or just have a helicopter follow you.

John Pike what's the fuel capacity on those. I know a local DP uses euro copters but only do a 75-80% fill cause of weight restrictions. So it's possible you could just hightail it burn the chopper outta fuel depending on the flight time to you and a closest refueling point.
