Absolutely the best hack I’ve seen yet for doll house crafting! Thank you! I have been trying to find a pleater to buy. Most places are sold out and I haven’t been able to find anything under $80. This is a godsend thank you again!
Thank you so much for making this video tutorial. I saw one of those mini pleaters and I thought I'd buy one to make my miniature curtains, but the only one I could find cost $80 in Australian money (or about $50 American dollars.) There was no way I was paying that for something I thought I could make myself, and then luckily I found your video. Cheers from a new subscriber, Amanda in Melbourne, Australia. ❤
Oh. My. Gosh. This is so awesome. They look perfectly sized for a dollhouse window and like an actual draping curtain. Thank you for sharing, I've always wondered how to do this...hugs from Arizona...;)
Amazing, I always wanted a pleater but didn't want to pay a lot. Your homemade version is fantastic. I am so enjoying your videos. Wish I had your tutorials when I worked on my dollhouse. I can't wait to try all your techniques.
@@angieaug I've just got my first house and I'm hoping to make rather than buy soft furnishings so this was really helpful, thank you. Can I ask please, does the spray leave the material sticky or prone to dust sticking to it?
I have the old pleaters in two sizes. They're the rubber type, not sure if you're familiar with them but I use to soak the fabric, after prep, then place the fabric on the pleater and use a plastic card that came with the pleater. I love the one you have made. You use the square and round dowels? So clever. Thank you.
Well it's time for the curtains. The outside is just about finished and I am moving indoors for the final push. Thinking of you and all your helpful hints and tricks. I owe my brick work an floors to you. Hope you are well. Mitchell
Ok I kinda had pause at "skinny sticks" but I think they look pretty much like the little wooden coffee stirrers I have so I will give it a try. But first I am looking for how you did that lovely window seat lol!
Yes, coffee stirrers or any thin strips of wood will do as long as they're long enough. Here's a link to the windowseat video: th-cam.com/video/gDdkoVsE_Kg/w-d-xo.html
Love this idea. Can’t wait to start my own house. Can you tell me where did you get Mary. Older ladies I’ve seen online look creepy. Thanks again for sharing
I know what you mean about creepy dolls, lol! Mary is a Heidi Ott doll that I got from Ebay. Here's a link to a seller I get a lot of my dolks from: www.ebay.com/c/899452180
Genius! I'm going to make one even though I'm almost 2 years late to run into your channel. Thank you. I'm also going to sub to your channel and see what else you can teach me. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The man is a Heidi Ott doll. If you search "Heidi Ott 1:12 scale doll" you can usually find some bargains. The lady and baby are by Zjakazumi, also on Ebay here: www.ebay.com/itm/OOAK-1-12-scale-bjd-female-doll-by-Zjakazumi-mature-content/223621456556?hash=item3410e0a2ac:g:EOIAAOSwFQhdUcyf
This is perfection. I purchased a pleater and now I'm thinking this is so much better.

What an excellent idea! I had a pretty pleaser once and lost it… don’t ask me how, lol.
Thank you
What size dowels did you use for spacing? As someone else said very innovative.
Not sure of the exact size, but they're the ones from the craft section at Walmart.
