I'm gonna try this I need to see how that feels to have the air rip through your shirt like a knife as you skim the ground with your hand like it was water.. that has to be true freedom.
It really is the only thing that makes me feel truly alive and like i can do anything. Not as good as thees guys though. YET. go for it man you can do it too👍👍👍👍
Jannis Behrendt I never wear pads myself. The only safety gear I have the faintest interest in wearing is the skid pads for the hands, so I can power slide.
Jannis Behrendt They're a pain if you don't actually need them. Try being super sweaty and having the elastic cutting and pinching your elbows and knee backs. It's not really worth it if you have the skill and the horse sense to avoid having to bail and aren't going all that fast.
Road rash helps meelearn lol. Peel the skin off your knee in a big toeside shutdown and you remember to keep that lil nugget tucked up where she belongs lol.

seriously though... why the hell dont you wear pads and leather and every bit of protection you could? i bombed a hill years ago probably only going a tenth of the speed youre going, and ripped half the skin off both palms, my elbow, and a bit on my hip. not to mention how bruised my bones were.. i suppose unlike some injuries ripped flesh heals so whatever... but still... it seriously hurts. never bombed a hill since, even though i skate everyday at the park/ bowls... haha. and also you should wear a helmet.. dude if you came off one of those turns with the hills/ cliffs.. or one with a wall... ouch. but mad respect. and at the end of the day i dont think you should have to wear any safety gear if you dont want to... i believe in the freedom to choose. respect :)
He is wearing a certified CPS helmet the whole time. Pads are a personal choice. Same reason pro skaters on the streets don't wear pads, right of passage. Some can handle the injuries, others give up.
Tom Flinchbaugh yeah fair enough, I respect the right to do it, I was the same on a much smaller and less skilled scale at that age but now I'd rather be able to keep doing things o enjoy than getting injured, and going to work everyday hurting isn't much fun either.. but I respect his choice
At this lvl of experience,& at the speed/control skillset being displayed here , 90% + of the times you come off the deck , DH - freeriders can use the slidegloves& toes of shoes to slide upon to a stop. Likewise, after 5-10 years of this the rider's elbows & forearms dont have much sensitivity any longer since they've been scarred and injured so often. Anything over comfort level , most will padup but it can actually hinder you if you REALLY know a hill well . cert Helmet, slidegloves & good soled shoes are most crucial safety gear . hope that helps . 🛹👍🏻

@@thevapingauditfrog2387 you mean, slide pucks? slide gloves?
Invest in a helmet! Don't skate without one!
Prof Orpheus Usually I don't gotta wear one cause everything is flat. There's nothing like this where I am. Then I'd have to wear one lol.
