Larry is definitely benefiting more than Hafthor, but yes, you're right, he's a top level training partner to have for sure. And now we've seen them BOTH bleed from massive lifts lol ( Larry chest, Hafthor forehead )
@@Karemaker Agree.Last larry video with thor they discussed there different way of deadlift
Cool - I think Larry has a bright future in strongman if he makes it his main focus. Strongman / powerlifting is way more rewarding than bodybuilding IMO. He has so much athleticism that it'd be a waste to just be a bodybuilder.
banditdawgs someone wants to give this Larry guy a kiss on the mouth it sounds like 💉💉💉😘😘😘😘😘
1:22:45 "everybody's got their phones up" Yeah, kinda sad thing to see there..
Recording/taking pictures is sad now?
@@owo7094 I personally get a much better experience from the moment there, without holding my phone and making sure i got it on video. You can always watch better quality videos later here anyway.
@@TheKikkomaster probably its even better to have an own memory of it?
@@TheKikkomaster Then that's good for you. Believe it or not, people are different. *Surprised pikachu*
@@aggressivelyamicable5987 Yes, that's why i said "personally" ;)
If larry wheels was up there saying POWERRR then Shaw could've got that lift. 🇺🇸
larry supports thor comothor
or BTC
Larry is actually a few meters next to him in the front row

@@Martin-ki8jv i knew he was there just only if he was on the stage.
Fucking respect to everyone who put hands on that bar. Absolutely incredible to pick that kind of insane weight on such an unforgiving bar. Really wanted to see both Shaw and Hafthor get those weights up but they still beasted more then anyone else out there.
Thor picked up 955lbs easier than I lift my 35lb daughter
1:11:58 Brian shaw : "what the frick is this?" -- in the back
that reminds of the time when i thought deadlifting was bullshit, now here i'm cheering for these guys, getting really hyped and wishing to deadlift 24/7
When you're so damn big that 45lb plates look like 35's. :D
Just wanted to thank Rogue for putting on a great live stream. Must appreciated.
Thor you animal!! Congrats to everyone that participated and become more of my motovational figures!
Thankyou!
I love mark Henry but he sucks so bad on the mic 😞
That's why they bough in the other guy - More charisma haha x
Julian Leyva that’s world strongest man mark henry to you.
He said martins "likis" lol
Why no kg guys?
fuck that
@@patricksomaine3700 HAHAHAHA
Just go ahead and rename the event to Thor vs. Shaw 🤔😂
It's not a competition. Thor is stronger now, period.
Shaw isn’t in second dumbass.

Corey Lee Pritchett would’ve given thor a serious run
@@22ImHuge22 Yeah that's true, I hated to see that happen to him...
These records require a unique individuals... Like you can't even have a normal athlete push these levels... It's definitely a gift and a passion that I can respect u know. Play ur strengths and weed out the weaknesses along the way.
The quality of the stream was superb! Love Rogue
Wait, a version without Mark Henry in it? Awesome!
What do you mean?
He's in it though. He's the one that called Licis "Like-us"
That “like-us” just showed laziness from Mark. I believe they have a more energetic announcer.
@@thebear8982 hate that fucking guu terrible terrible wtf is he doing there!!!! he is so bad fuck him
The Bear he may be boring but there’s no need to call him a cunt for at least trying his best. The man hasn’t done anything to you but you feel the need to insult him because you think he’s boring.
lmao they are hyping up this 50 grand like it isn't pennies to Thor.
1 episode of Game of Thrones is 50 times more payday for him. And at least there he can't die making the money
Please. If "Game of Thrones" was such a huge windfall for him, then he wouldn't still be competing in this stuff. He won $72,000, which probably isn't that many miles away from what he's been paid per episode.
@@TontoEpstein He does this because loves the sport you fucking idiot. He makes more than this in a month from half his sponsors. Not even mentioning his Game of Thrones money.
@@kooroshrostami27 I would wager his GoT money is not anywhere near what you think it is. He's as bit player compared to some of the bigger stars on the show. He might make $10k per episode, my estimate.
@@kevindavis5966 10K? The make up artistics get more than that... 100k at least. That show produces such ridiculous amounts of cash
Who all are got tears 😭 at 1:22:23 and 1:25:11...
Kieliszkowski and Licis im rooting for them. i love licis humor on his yt account and kieliszkowski's humbleness. im sure there will be a good showdown between them in the future.
Imagine if he was a full Thor.
double all his PRs
He needs the beard.
good one actually
LOL
He'd lift the Midgard Serpent effortlessly if he was full Thor lol😂😂✌

Where does that come up? I haven't seen this version of the recording yet.
Yeah we miss ya Z
@@Slywolf1992 07:08
Is that really him? He's slimmed down so much, I didn't realize he'd been carrying strongman weight I just thought that was his normal size.
@@lenisemicolon that was the talk of the strong man arena that big z is no more big but healthy.. But this talk was 1 year back i think..
My best show ever...
Soon I will be among the world strongest men list💪
Thanks for the upload, but in the future, can you guys get better audio
So how many of u were waiting for larry wheels..?
gautam giri yes
I watched the live stream, 70% of the comments were about Larry Wheels starring as guest competetor.
Shivlyakov! I remember him as Bayman from DOA3! :D
Let's not forget that there is a 7 year gap between the two shawn and thor. This is very significant in the strongman world.
Big Z was at his absolute peak at age 37
26:00
Unless you wanna listen to people talk for almost half an hour.
That bar flexes so much that they're not lifting the full weight until they are half way stood up.
The audio is kinda low
Yes yes yes been waiting for this
So sad not to see Thor (or Shaw) pull over 1100 pounds, he wanted it so badly! Very impressive none the less.
It would have been nice to see them do it but I wouldnt say that it's sad
If different bar then definitely
Just about broke my heart seeing Thor fail that world record lift. Such an effort even getting that off the ground I wanted him to get it with all of my soul! You’ll get it next time Thor!!!
Is it just me or are those the best looking plates you've ever seen?
What're the commentators talking about at Thor's 2nd to last lift? World record? Didn't he miss Hall's record by like 60 lbs?
the record for the Elephant bar specifically they were on about.
Shaw. :(
He's still my favorite powerlifter!
He has obviously underestimated the Husafell stone or he simply didn't train natural stones.... In Iceland people half his size doing better that's kind of sad I wished for a closer battle between Thor and Brian
@@Sir_Lauchboy He tore his hamstring on the deadlift where he fell forward. You can honestly see his muscle spasm in the video.
I think he was carrying injuries going into this.
@@Sir_Lauchboy I don't think so. He blew out his hamstring.
I think y'all pronouncing his name wrong....it's not Hafthor. It's Half-Thor Half-Man
Good God...Thor made that 1045lb deadlift look easy
Bravo man!
Lookin forward to seeing you break it again!
Was Olexii Novikov using figure 8 straps as lasso straps?
MARTINS!🍊
I was so sad to see him miss 1001. It seemed to me like he was a little off his game right before the lift. Notice when the guy starts slapping him hard on the back to psych him up, it appears he gets a little angry. No shame in Martin's placing though. His day will come. He's only getting better and stronger.
@@JLewis1979 Yeah his 970 lift was still a PR too
@@JLewis1979 Yeah for sure, he's trying to get in the zone and he wasn't having any of that guy. Totally understandable to want some space.
I feel so bad for Brian Shaw he looked like he was about to cry when he failed
@MMAbadboy no he is forever going to be a champ, 4x wsm, 3x asc, all-american strongman, etc etc there will never be another Brian
@ihategooglespooks Hafthor did as well…
@@Phoenix4956 Brian did before him and before big z
Prime for prime no one beats the mountain, dude has no weak events
I was sad that Brian didn't hit that last deadlift, but he's still incredibly strong. Thor is the best deadlifter rn and it isn't close, so if Brian wants to win, he'll have to beat him in the other events. He's got more in the tank. If anything, he's pissed off now, so maybe he'll give it that much more. Awesome to watch.
Shaw and Thor.. Those two dudes just on a whole other level
The Arnold strong man classic should have a bigger purse.
thors technique is miles ahead of brians just watch back how much smoother it is.
Thor is just stronger..
@@Ohdude1337 brians deadlift has always looked odd though
@@Ohdude1337 Thor is also 7 years younger
MegaDargar exactly. You would think Brian would lift more then Thor since he has more years in training then Thor but that doesn’t seem to be the case
@@MegaDargar Brian Shaw is an amazing guy. I am his loyal Sub. But with all the respect for Brian - he wasnt as strong as now 7 years ago. He is at his prime now. The only thing what he facing now is more strength but sadly injuries too. Thor now is pretty much at Eddie prime Deadlift level. But both Thor and Shaw isnt at Eddie(he pretty much had power for 230ohp log. Damn ankle..) or BigZ OHP prime level. Well, log lifts still upcomming. We will see
"welcome to the stage... Martins LIKUS." -Mark Henry
I don't even work out, how did I get to these strongman videos......... And WHY have I watched like 20 of them now?!
Incredible workout motivation these guys give me, when Thor lifts something so heavy his face bleeds you can't moan about going to the gym. I'm convinced he would have had that 501kg lift if his sock had not slipped on the wooden floor, he had it up and moving, the hardest part, he just needed to straighten up. He has 500kg in him now for sure.
I’m glad for that. Have you ever watched the Stoltman brothers? They are grand 🇨🇦
I’m a huge fan of the strongman sports, I’ve been watching for several years.
