    These manufacturers should get sued for soldering Ram

    • @GavinRemme
      @GavinRemme ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It makes it cheaper and easier to package. I don't think they should be penalized for that.

      @@GavinRemmein other words, they are ripping the consumer off. Cheaper for them, more money for them because they know that they are throwing away and it will for consumers to buy new. Many of these crooked companies love to say how green they are but contribute more to waste. I hope you were just Jiking with your comment. 🤦🏽‍♂️

      Because they save money on memory slot port.

    • @jetfuel_
      @jetfuel_ 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@wojtekkowal2652 the slot + using a DIMM instead would add about $5 per unit on these lower end, higher volume models.

      @@wojtekkowal2652 I don't believe that matters, just raise the price $5 + your 10% margin.
      With the drive for right to repair and product upgradability in the past years the customer will still go for it, more so if they see it's upgradable down the line. I mean if one of the chips or one of the solder joints crack, instead of going for a new laptop or a replacement board, you or the service center can just pop a new dimm in for like 60 bucks

    Good work! Do you know of any extended batteries that would take the space of a removed SATA disk?

    • @CutieDragon-et2ig
      @CutieDragon-et2ig ปีที่แล้ว

      Lenovo sells two batteries, the small one as shown and a bigger one, for this model.

      Unfortunately, you need a spoecial kit from lenovo that is hard to get (I couldn't get one) - as is, the laptop comes with empty space, but not the required cables, for the SATA disk :/
