@@wojtekkowal2652 I don't believe that matters, just raise the price $5 + your 10% margin. With the drive for right to repair and product upgradability in the past years the customer will still go for it, more so if they see it's upgradable down the line. I mean if one of the chips or one of the solder joints crack, instead of going for a new laptop or a replacement board, you or the service center can just pop a new dimm in for like 60 bucks

Unfortunately, you need a spoecial kit from lenovo that is hard to get (I couldn't get one) - as is, the laptop comes with empty space, but not the required cables, for the SATA disk :/

These manufacturers should get sued for soldering Ram
It makes it cheaper and easier to package. I don't think they should be penalized for that.

Lenovo sells two batteries, the small one as shown and a bigger one, for this model.

I have the same issue. Yes, I have space to stick in a sata SSD, but where am I supposed to plug it into? There is no cable for it to plug into.

Torx screw T5 or T6 grabbed a combo from Home Depot worked great just need to figure out how to get the thing off now

Well, on my 15alc05 model the extra 2.5 inch ssd space is filled with a bigger sized battery. Bummer, so much for the extra cable I ordered.
