A helpful tip from a person whose had food at different restaurants at different times in my life and got food poisoning: If at 3 small bites it tastes off or your first thought is meh, don't eat it regardless of the situation. You'll get less sick at 3 bites, plus even though you feel bad cause of the experience, price, whatever, its not worth it to be ill. Too bad you guys didnt know what caused it, but thought I'd post it just in case for future reference.

These traditional looking buildings with neon lights, shopping streets and the small pond with zigzaging bridge are not the actual ‘Yuyuan’, the Yuyuan garden is behind the walls, and you need to buy a ticket at a small ticket box to go inside.
For foreign tourist, what is the usual payment method in Shanghai from shopping, to food to museums, etc ? Since E-wallet, Wechat pay, QR codes is not available for Foreign tourist..
